A hidden jewel in Murchison. This lodge provides peace and serenity with the advantage of warm and welcoming hosts with superb attention to detail. An excellent selection of breakfast choices all prepared and delivered by our host. This lodge is highly recommended.

Everything. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely location near the river. Parked the bike right next to the room. Philip is a wonderful host. The best stay on our extended trip.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

Rooms are spacious as it is but having the common spaces for spending time, reading and playing board games is the Cherry on top. We LOVED it!

Absolutely amazing one night stay. The hosts were great and breakfast was healthy and delicious. The room was very cosy and the bath was great.

I liked everything

I really loved the breakfast! We were able to choose what we wanted and how we wanted it cooked! All the food was prepared at the time we chose and was delicious! I especially loved the homemade scones and jelly.

The location of the lodge is perfect, in peaceful surroundings yet within easy walking distance of the small town centre and outdoor activities (white-water rafting etc). Our hosts were attentive without being intrusive, and Philip gave us a great breakfast - fresh eggs from their own chickens. Daphne’s delicious chocolate brownies went down very well too!

Philip and Daphne have created a knockout lodge with plenty of old time design details but top notch amenities. We extended to stay longer at this immaculate landscaped lodge. And the hearty breakfasts were fantastic! Kudos to a family that loves their jobs!

It was perfect.

Excellent choices and we recommend the Bircher muesli. Home cooked bread rolls and jam, home range eggs and excellent coffee.

The location was ideal, away from the main road, quiet and peaceful. The hosts are welcoming and attentive. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this place. Everything was perfect.

A quiet relaxing stay amongst mature trees and gardens. Wonderful, friendly, obliging hosts. I relaxed in the evening in front of a roaring fire and would have been happy to stay forever. The breakfast was amazing not a prepared tray brought to the room, but a beautifully cooked breakfast with many cereal, toast and spread choices all prepared by Phillip our host whilst chatting and sharing stories with him. All the facilities were available to guests including a fully equipped kitchen with a wonderful rural view and a very good coffee machine that I quickly became friends with. This was a unique experience and one I am keen to repeat.

This felt like home, warm, comfortable and clean. Phillip is an exceptional host, very friendly and sociable but not at all overbearing. We loved it here and are planning to come again with family and rent the whole place! If anything, the photos of this place do not do it justice.

This lodge was just the perfect place, warm, comfortable, clean with the most fantastic hosts, Daphne & Philip. Nothing was too much for them , they were so accomodating, it was fantastic. Lovely breakfast with home made muesli and yogurt. Just Devine.
