The cottage was well maintained had everything we needed for a family of 6 traveling to Acadia in August 2024. The location is very central to the park entrances and within 10 mins drive to Bar Harbor. We loved its accessibility.
Amanda was prompt in addressing our queries and requests that came up during our stay. We would love to be back and stay here.
Thanks for making our time at Acadia a memorable one with the stay at Otter Creek Cottage.

The cottage was in a prefect location, away from it all but not out of the way. The cottage was stocked with all important necessities, maps and welcome materials and was very comfortable for our small family getaway. Would recommend!

15 minutes to *everything* you want out of Acadia at a fraction of the price of Bar Harbor. Wonderful hikes right from the front door. Would definitely stay here again

Clean, quiet, nicely decorate, well equipped, ample room for six, close to trails, and easy communication with the host, Amanda. Very welcoming and comfortable. Nice to call "home" for our visit to Acadia.

We were there the first week of June 2024. The place was perfect for us with one bedroom having two beds. Not far from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Amanda checked in on us and replied to all of our text or Vbro messages right away.

Modern, tasteful decor, fully equipped, ultra clean in an ideal location. The cottage was located less than a 15 minute drive to the park entrance, Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, and all the best sites. We even hiked out the door to the top of Cadillac Mountain 8 miles round trip. There’s a general store with a kitchen a few doors down. Super quiet neighborhood off main road Rt. 3. The furniture and beds are all like new. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything to cook any meal. Manager was super friendly and helpful. Excellent lighting, privacy and also warm and cozy on cold nights. Washer and dryer were great but no dishwasher. Used the gas grill twice to cook steak and lamb chops. Would highly recommend for a couple or a small family. My wife appreciated the vases of fresh cut flowers

We loved our stay at Otter Creek as we celebrated a very early Thanksgiving with two of our kids who can’t be with us in November. The place was immaculate and the kitchen so perfectly laid out did cooking a big meal. While I cooked, my family was able to walk to the Cadillac Mtn south trailhead and hike up to the top . Weather was perfect , and we also hiked into Hadlock Falls as a family and the falls were spectacular . Beds were comfy, bathroom sparkling. All in all a great visit!

Otter Cove is the perfect location. Close to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and Seal Harbor. The house was clean and had everything we could need for our stay. We loved the trails off the dead end road, the fire pit, and the washer/dryer. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay at Otter Cove.

This place was perfect for our family (2 daughters-6 and 8). The amenities there were great and there was more than enough room for all of us to stretch out and relax after a day on the trails. It is centrally located to everything in and out of the Park itself (Bar Harbor, Thuya Gardens, etc.). You can even access a feeder trail at the end of the street which takes you to Quarry Path. From there you can get to a multitude of trails. So you can hit the trails from the cottage without even having to get in your car. We like to try new destinations every year, but if we ever make it back to Acadia, we'll be staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! Amanda was an amazing hostess and even made an “essentials grocery” run prior to our arrival! The cottage is in a quiet location but easy access to either side of Mount Desert Island!

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Maine. This place was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen is outfitted for anyone who wants to cook there which we did.
It’s close to the National park and to Bar Harbor but not a crazy busy area.
I highly recommend this place for your home away from home on vacation

My husband and I loved our stay. We were able to walk to all of our hikes from the rental wothout having to use our car. Nice, quiet, and relaxing place for those wanting to be away from the crowds!

Otter Cove Cottage is well-appointed and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed being able to access Acadia National Park extremely easily, it is just a short drive to many spots. We also hiked the neighborhood path to Otter Cove and it was a lovely and woodsy trail, we were the only people on it in the morning, and it took about 20 minutes to reach the cove. The cottage provides AC and a comfortable king bed, and the neighborhood is very quiet at night. A great private stay amidst the hustle and bustle of the area in mid-summer!

VERY CLEAN AND CLOSE TO EVERYTHING
AMANDA IS A VERY FRIENDLY AND A GOOD HOST. THE HOUSE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. WE WERE WELL INFORMED ABOUT THINGS TO SEE AND DO AND AMENITIES AVAILABLE. WE WERE WELCOMED WITH FRESH FLOWERS ON THE TABLES. THE AREA WAS QUIET.

Gem of Otter Creek
This was a perfect spot to explore all things Acadia. The house was amazing. Especially loved the fire pit for relaxing at the end of the day. Everything worked! I know first hand how hard it is to keep everything in a VRBO working properly. I would highly recommend this place. My husband and I stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room. We are traveling together to explore the National Parks and surrounding areas. We wish we could move the little blue house with us everywhere! Thanks Amanda for the great stay!.

Perfect location and great property
This little house was the perfect home base for our Acadia and Bar Harbor adventures! Amanda, the owner, thought of everything to make our stay easy and the house comes well equipped with the basics you’ll need for the week! The trail at the end of the street that leads to the Quarry path->Otter cove trail and so on, was so convenient and allowed us to avoid the crazy parking/driving to complete some really great hikes to Gorham Mtn/thunder hole/sand beach/otter cliffs. I’m torn between telling others about this property and keeping it my little secret for future Acadia adventures! Thanks so much Amanda! Your house is lovely. Location is excellent to trails, Bar Harbor, and and easy commute to the quiet side!

Excellent Location
Otter Cove Cottage is in a very convenient location for all the activities on Mount Desert Island. It is very close to Bar Harbor, but is quiet and peaceful. We loved everything about our stay. The beds were super comfortable and the the house very clean and cozy. We would love to return with the rest of our family some day.

Very nice cozy cottage with everything we needed. The weather turned warm for us, so the A/C was so nice. On a quiet street and central location to get to Bar Harbor or Southwest or Northeast Harbor. Lobster Market is convenient @ the corner - if there’s something you want or need, they probably have it. There’s connector trails at the other end of the street that will take you to Ocean Path or Blackwoods Campground and South Ridge Trail to Cadillac Mtn. Amanda was really great to work with. We’d love to come back!

From booking to arrival, the communication with this property owner was excellent! This place was well equipped! Appreciated the staples provided! Loved the fire pit, a couple logs to start, and roasting sticks! Beds were very comfortable. The location was so perfect! Close to shopping and restaurants in Bar Harbor! Absolutely loved that! It was also a great spot to hike Acadia National Park from! Would have no hesitation renting this one again, in fact would look to book it first upon return to the area!

Terrific Space & Location
We've been coming up to Acadia at about the same time for 11+ years. Of everywhere we stayed this was by far the best in terms of both the house and the location. We loved being able to take a morning walk down to the cove even if we had a longer hike planned for later in the day. The property was clean and bright and comfortable. We were able to cook all our meals handily in the kitchen. We will be going back for sure!

Really nice place to stay
House was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children (3-4 yo). It had everything we needed in a home away from home. Even gas grill with propane tank!!. Amanda is good host.
