Everything worked well - except the shower head
The shower head was loose so that was fun

Lots of small touches made the visit great, fresh milk, good quality tea/coffee, percolator. Great power from the shower, access to the garden.
Though there was an electric blanket, perhaps a slightly warmer duvet for the winter.

Nice location, rural setting, very quiet, about 3 kms from CBD.
Room was very crowded and was not meant to be a self contained.catering unit. Clothes closet was utilized as the kitchen area. Only available sink was the one in bathroom. Minor disagreement with Owner was resolved to our mutual satisfaction…..he provided us a nice bottle of wine as a result of the misunderstanding. There are other rooms/cottages available that are fully self contained and self catering. Make sure you know what you are getting.

Lovely apartment, nice views - everything new and nice.
No easy way to contact staff. We could not get Netflix to work on their HUGE tv. In their 'welcome book', they have a note that, if you don't use the dishwasher to clean the dishes, you will be fined $100 or more?!! (We wash ours by hand...) They have another sign when you enter asking (not suggesting) that you wear their disposable slippers, which are nice, but we prefer our socks. (we don't wear shoes in our house.) Another sign asked you to remove your trash in the morning.... But there was no bin outside....
AC only in living room (common here in NZ). No screens on windows. Wanaka is a great town with some nice convenient accommodation, which we switched to.
It's still a very nice spot, so if the owners fix a few things, I'm sure it'll be a great place to chill or base out of.

We loved everything about Alpine View Lodge. Location is amazing. Definitely staying there again, when we visit Wanaka on our next hiking trip in March.

The whole property was great, good bathroom, good bed & good heater. Exactly what we were after!

our room is extremely clean and neat. Owner is very friendly and responded super fast to solve any problems I might have. we can directly see the snow mountain from our window, and we had a very chill experience. I will definitely come back

Staff were very good to us after complaining about lack of a couple of things. Nice big bath tub. Clean and comfortable. Nice view. Would stay again.
No comfy couch and couldn't watch tv from bed. Shared balcony.
