The Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and really comfortable beds.
Breakfast was excellent.
My only complaint, and this is not the fault of the hotel. We had a very hot couple of days, unfortunately the room had been in full sun all day with the window closed. It was so unbearably hot that we didn’t get any sleep. A portable fan would have been a great help!!

Good quiet location, friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Excellent value for money,
Pillows were a bit lumpy and the room was hot at night despite turning the radiator right down.

Good choice and well cooked breakfast
Drinks in the bar were disappointing

Room decor was nice and bed was very soft. Breakfast was superb.
There was hair on the bed, towels stained, shower, toilet and under sink not clean properly and few things dusty in the kitchen /living.
It seems it was cleaned very quickly without any attention to details.

Location
Rooms a little tired.
No evening meals on Wednesday and Thursday nights

Really friendly staff who took care to talk to our son too. Location is fab as tucked just off the High St so central but nice and quiet. Own carpark. We were top floor - view of the beach and castle. Sizeable family room with adjacent space for children which was perfect - even had a second TV! Furnished nicely including a sofa to view TV. Good breakfast with freshly served coffee.
Top floor did not have a lift (stopped at floor 2) so quite a windy climb with bags to the room, but we didn't mind too much as we packed light. Room was clean and well facilitated on the whole but shower needs some TLC - a bit temperamental and aged. Didn't serve dinner on the day of arrival but recommended the local pub which was good pub food.

Stayed there for golden wedding as we spent our honeymoon there. Location was as expected, breakfasts were good.
In sorry state as you expect rooms to be cleaned daily in a 3 star hotel, and an evening meal to be served daily. We did not find this out until arrival.

Location as we were walking the Llyn
Unfortunately it was rest day on a 209 mile walk, and we were not warned about the refit going on during the day. I would have liked a reduction.

Location was ideal for our needs and close to beech and other towns.
Limited food menu sitting in the bar for evening meal as restaurant was closed. Staff not very informative and did not know how to control the heating in our room.
Told no need to book Sunday lunch but was sold out at 13.00.

Fabulous location. Criccieth is a real gem and within reach of so many amazing places.
Hotel was clean, comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Decor is a little dated but that didn't really matter. Some staff a little negative but most of them were excellent, especially the staff at breakfast. They were bright cheerful and very efficient.

The Lion Hotel has an excellent location for exploring Criccieth and the stunning coastline. The room had been recently refurbished and was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was of a good quality and the vast majority of staff were professional, friendly and welcoming.

the location was very central so we could park the car up and walk around
the room was small, when people were on the corridor you could hear everything. upstairs people walking around during the night was not good. the room felt like a bedroom in a house and not like a hotel room, therefore you could hear next door very plainly as well as upstairs! was also a lot of dust and the shower was not exactly clean!

it was close to where we wanted to be and was really warm which is what we needed coming off of snowdon in the snow and wind. The breakfast is fantastic and so are the staff - they are excellent, well everyone apart from the man in the bar at night who was very grumpy, tried to win him over with kindness but it didn’t work.
stayed on the 2nd floor and the shower didn’t have the best pressure coming from it.
