The en suite bath tub, with plenty of hot water remains favourite for me!

I stayed in the house situated in a mews behind the former pub itself; very quiet & peaceful & an excellent bath tub en suite. I would certainly use this property again!

Lovely receptionist, great location, good price
We stayed in the annex at the back where we have stayed before and liked. This time we had noisy neighbours which revealed the walls to be paper thin! We have always been downstairs but we're upstairs this time which was more cramped with a tiny half height shower.

The hotel is convenient for Old Portsmouth and not far from Gunwharf Quays, in a fairly quiet area despite its High Street address. There are local options for breakfast and other meals while the attached pub is being renovated. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay, and staff on duty at reception are helpful.
No fault of the hotel but on a hot evening ventilation is not sufficient despite a fan being available.

The bed was comfy.
The price was more than the facilities. It really depends on what room they offer you as there are different types. The WIFI was awful. The shower space was small.

Location was very good, the staff are very helpful and polite at front of house
Stained pillows, stained carpet, noisy toilet and water system. Could barely get around bed to get to bathroom as tv on the wall.
Room really quite small for the price paid.
Tiny bathroom. Parking can be a nightmare, busy street parking.

I enjoyed my stay of 3 nights. Everything about the Hotel was to my satisfaction. The room would have been a problem for 2 people over three days, otherwise I would stay again. Central to everything in Portsmouth.

it’s well located
We booked a family room, expecting to get the room with a small separate room as illustrated but it was one big room. Could have just booked a twin and saved the money.

Good size room, great location, friendly and helpful staff
The chair in the room was broken and the water didn't drain as quickly as it should have in the shower but these things were minor and when I told Reception, they were very apologetic and I felt it was the first time they had been told about it.

location is excellent for the old town and 10 minutes to Gunwharf shopping and 15 minutes to Victory gate.

I have stayed before but this was my first time in a top floor room, the drain stank and the floor was wobbly. Nothing like the equivalent room a floor below.

the get go. The hotel was central to where we needed to be. The staff were very helpful and polite. The room was clean
The room was so small the double
bed was pushed up against the wall which was slanted since we were in what I would say was the attic space. Twice my partner woke up due to him banging his head on the wall in his sleep. Parking situation not totally ideal but worked

Everything however the person next door was v loud on the phone and I found it difficult to study as I had an exam the next day. otherwise excellent

don’t expect too much room or creature comforts, this is a great budget stop.
