Excellent, freshly-cooked breakfast. Comfortable room.

Breakfast & Dinner were very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and made us feel welcome.
The room was mostly taken up by the enormous bed with no space for chairs

Only major downside was the king room we expected at least a double bed, but it was actually two single beds pushed together which is very uncomfortable for a couple to sleep on!

Our room had a lovely view over open country (I guess not all rooms have this). Staff were very friendly, and the room modern and well furnished with usual facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good range of choices (and no rush either).

Booked to stay for one night on New Year Eve - greatly appreciated early telephone contact to advise arrangements in terms of bar opening and entertainment. Hospitality was superb - all staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely character building including lovely open log fire in bar area, clearly a children and dog friendly place. Room was spacious providing comfortable bed with plenty of storage. Nice clean bathroom. Great breakfast provided including choice of fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt before moving onto the hot cooked breakfast - particularly recommend the "full English". Having a large on-site car park is always a bonus and the check-in & check-out service was quick with no issues experienced
Windows in bedroom were rather draughty.....

very warm welcome from staff. We also ate there for a big family Xmas lunch - exceptional staff, attentive, friendly, warm & efficient service despite a busy period. rooms were clean, comfortable & good value. breakfast fabulous choice. We will definitely be back!

Rooms exceptionally well maintained and clean, the beds were really comfy. Staff really friendly and helpful.
For what was classed as a double the room was barely bigger than a single. Being picky I guess the breakfast area was cold first thing to the point I had to get my coat.

Couldn’t drink from the taps and we ran out of the one bottle of water.

they don't serve breakfast till 8.30 on sat which means we paid for a breakfast we never had. We were exhibiting at a show nearby same as many other guests. Would have been nice if someone got up to make breakfast

Big comfortable bed with good sized room and bathroom. Sunday roast was super and breakfast excellent. Friendly staff with great service. Really good value for money. Free parking.

Poor lighting (could be easily fixed with different main light shades!) in room. Cooler/generator? on all night under room facing main road..maybe not fixable?!

The room was comfortable.
The cleanliness, around the bed and the back of the bed there were used packets of biscuits (both sides of the bed).
The shower cubicle is way too small.
The vegetarian sausages need to be higher quality ones like the Cauldron ones.

offered two rashers of bacon, and we all only got one.
The waitress was very busy, so we didn’t have the heart
