Location is pretty good, just a 10 minute walk into town. Breakfast was good as well. We were lucky to be sharing the place with some lovely people at the same time.

Caroline and Suzie were a little surprised when we arrived as the room we stayed in is apparently only meant to be for solo travelers even though it has a queen sized bed. * You can only add one name for this room*. Not sure why this is, as it was perfectly adequate for us as a couple. They were very good about it all in the end though. Check which room you book.

Criffel Peak lies on the edge of the Wanaka Township which was ideal for meeting our needs, making it a quiet and most enjoyable place to stay. Caroline and Suzie are great hosts offering advice on what to do and where to go. Their breakfast was plentiful and most satisfying. The walk into the centre of Wannaka takes a good ten minutes plus and the town has a great deal to offer tourists. There is a plethora of cafe's bars and restaurants of varying degree set within a panoramic vista framed by the beautiful lake and nearby montains. Thus our stay at Criffel was ideal, easy to locate, comfortable and generously well priced. I would highly recommend.

Breakfast options were great, especially if you’re a hungry person. Caroline was very welcoming when we arrived, she obviously works very hard to keep the place up to a high standard. Both Caroline and Suzi had extensive knowledge of the area and activities in various places.

I adore this place. Suzie and Caroline were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. They helped me to plan fun activities for my time in Wanaka, including hikes and restaurants. It was interesting to hear about the local area from them and they are really involved in the community. They were so lovely to chat to, when I left it felt like leaving friends. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed, and the breakfasts were fab! I would highly recommend staying here.

Host was great. Room excellent. Walking distance to Wanaka township. Excellent breakfast.

Located on a quiet street 6 easily walkable blks from town center/Beach. Super comfortable bed. Hosts were flexible with breakfast time based on guest preferences. I had arranged a pack raft excursion, and the host contacted the vendor and got me door to door service. She also picked me up from the bus stop, then dropped me off at the same location at the end of my stay.

Breakfast was the same each morning of my stay. Some variety would be nice.

The location relative to the town is excellent, just a stroll away. It was a very comfortable pleasant stay. The two hosts are excellent, very pleasant and have have great knowledge of the area. I enjoyed our many conversations and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Really nice and welcoming bed and breakfast with amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and freshly made pancakes. Walking distance from Wanaka centre, calm and very clean rooms, nice garden.. Thank you! :)
