A wonderful place we had not visited before. It was a great place to stopover in, which broke up a long journey between two different mountain resorts.

Staff was very helpful, spacious and comfortable room with great location and view.

The check in is a little bit late and I wish check out was at least 12 because you don't get to stay for 24 hours there.

Excellent location, accommodation right next to the lake, port for going on trips to the islands next to the accommodation, nice room, bigger than expected, very friendly staff, good food in the restaurants...

A lot of mosquitos

We had a large, bright and stylish room with a balcony and view of the lake and mountains. We travelled off-season (it snowed a bit whilst we were there). The room was very good value for money and included an excellent breakfast in a large dining area in the adjacent hotel.

Great location, excellent Breakfast

The room was very old and small - the bathroom was across the hallway (not in the room) and extremely small, showering was literally not possible due to a very very low ceiling.

One big mattress in the room, for a couple. There are many restaurants-pubs here.

difficult to find the reception/room but we arrived after the reception closed so we figured it out ourselves, would be easier to say the reception is right next to the maximillian steak house restaurant

the rooms are above a restaurant and to access the rooms, you walk through the kitchen. Crazy setup! Room is basically a hostel. we never got hot water in bathroom. Decor (so to speak) is bleak…wood ash from pizza oven finds its way into your bed, plaster is crumbling off of ceiling. it’s bad. There was no signage to help locate the hotel -we finally had to ask a passer by. young lady at reception was not friendly.

Location location LOCATION!! It is really near the harbour to take the ferry to Herreninsel, a lot of good restaurants around and we could also easily take the special Chiemsee bahn. Breakfast is also good and they managed well despite all these Covid restrictions (eg we wore plastic gloves when taking food at buffet). Service at breakfast is also fast. Bed was comfortable too and room was cleaned well.

Some staff were not friendly. And what was advertised on Booking.com was also not matching the expectation. After booking, they told us our bathroom was not within our room and that was a shock (as i would not have booked that as i am traveling with 2 small kids). Secondly, the room was too small for an extra bed (even though they advertised room was suitable for one adult + 2 kids). Thirdly, the entrance to the guest house was a bit dodgy (behind a restaurant where it was full of rubbish & a bit smelly). Never experienced such an entrance! ;-)

Location was superb.

Room was over a restaurant, so it was a bit noisy until midnight.

The breakfast was great, exellent location
