I've stayed before and mostly you know what you are getting, student accommodation in the heart of London at a lower price than most hotels. What they don't tell you is how exceptionally good the breakfast is, nor the lovely staff who serve it. The reception team were spot on too. The great coffee and freshly cooked english breakfast at he buffet, together with an array of continenetal options, all quality, was a revelation - especially as I cut it fine for getting in on time for it, at a time when many hotels would have choose from what's left attitude.

The room was a bit of a journey to get to - slow lift followed by a few corridors. But I did ask for a quiet room, so maybe that was why. A fire alarm went offf in the evening - it was managed OK, but felt very 'student toaster incident'.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a very good variety of food for choice. The beds were comfortable which provided a good nights sleep.

I was disappointed that there was not a mirror in the main room to enable me to see how I looked before going out. The mirror in the bathroom which I had to use to make up was too high for me to be able to make up in.

It was like halls of residence for student accommodation: utilitarian and served its purpose. Towels, soap & shampoo, kettle, yea bags, instant coffee and milk were provided. I shared a shower and toilet with another room, presumably also single, but that wasn’t occupied so I had the place to myself. Breakfast was complimentary, and served in a canteen. There was a large range of food available: 2 pieces of fruit, cooked breakfast, juices, cereals, croissants, toast, hot drinks.

Breakfast was included in the price. I would have preferred to have been able to choose to have breakfast, with a reduction in the price for not having it.

Breakfast here is second to none at this price in London. The welcome was warm and they are willing to keep bags until check in. Bedding was crisp and clean and there’s plenty of storage space in the room.

Property was boiling hot for London summer with no fans and no aircons. Shower was not as advertised and shower rooms are terribly dated. Our cistern leaked. Shower door was peeling at the back. No space for shower stuff. Location wise this property is a 10 minute walk from any bus or tube station. It’s not easy with small children who may refuse to walk.

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable.

Exterior noise (out of your control) - the shape of the building seemed to amplify the sound though.

Great place on Southbank. Fab breakfast.

E got no sleep. The pub directly outside our room wasxloud all night till 3am. Impossible to sleep . Just unfortunate.

It has already got a bit long in the tooth. It’s like a youth hostel with very cold rooms.
