It was very close to the supermarket and a short walk to the beach. there is a nice communal space with pool table, ping pong, reading area and the breakfast is delicious! They even offer Gluten Free Pancakes (though not safe for Celiac as there is cross contamination) The shades over the pool were nice and between the AC and fans the rooms stayed a nice temperature most of the day

The smell of garbage going up the stairs and while sitting at the tables was definitely not pleasant and while the pool was decent the first day I was there by the third day it was completely green and slimy.

AC and fan in the dorms, enough showers and toilets available.

pool is nice and super large socialble hostel with lots of activities free breakfast, although also there i had a little ant in my plate

it was not very clean. sheets had marks, and there were loads of huge red (!) ants in our bathroom and dorm. some even come up to my bed

Clean, really friendly staff

I booked for two people but we were put in separate rooms as the system had marked us down for an all female dorm. Had to show I definitely did not pick a female dorm and they did eventually offer us one night in the same room but we didn’t want to have to switch rooms halfway through our stay. We share toiletries, adapters etc so it was really inconvenient but the woman who checked us in didn’t really care. However the staff in general were lovely. Kitchen is badly arranged with all 8 hobs in one corner, hard for more than 1 person to cook. We also felt this was really bad value for money, 2 nights in dorms for 2 people was over $100

the kitchen was always dirty. don’t take surf lessons, are pricy and useless. 70$ for 90 mins, 1 instructor every 3 people, that gives you maximum a couple of advises…

I made a lot of friends there. It’s not too party but well social.

The hostel is really nice! Good common spaces, and a really naive pool. Is really near to the beach entrance. The best thing is the people that work there, they are super nice and helpful.

the kitchen was gross and the bedsheet kept un hooking from the mattress when I would move ever so slightly, super annoying.

Everything is always clean! The staff is great! They always have activities to recommend. The rooms has AC and lockers! Full kitchen, games and a swimming pool, what else? I had a great time! Reserved only for one night and keep extending and extending like everyone here!! Haha

Very good service, the personal was very nice and very helpful! Nice breakfast and in the common areas it was easy to get to know other people. Very nice stay for a solo traveler.

A little far from the centre of Santa Teresa, but still at a walking distance

I was working online and the wifi was enough! I met many nice people and the vibe was friendly and chilled. I was looking forward to eating the pancake with fruit every morning. Personal is cleaning every day and all girls from reception are very friendly and helpful. It's not a party place but not boring either. I spent 9 nights and was very satisfied. Thank you for the good stay.

· Everything was alright for me :). I just prefer to move closer to Santa Teresa (by walking it is 30 min. or you can go by bus or hitchhike)

I liked that they offered day trips from there and had different things to do available.

I know it was my fault for staying at a hostel with kids, but it was really difficult to go to bed early when you could hear others staying up talking, music playing, and light coming through the window. In fact it might've been bright all night. Also, the pool was a bit dirty and run down :(.

Very sociable for solo travelers and the staff is super nice and helpful!

The location is great, the pool was wonderful, staff was kind and breakfast/kitchen area were good. The common area with the pool table and darts was great.

The bed was back breaking, the AC was blowing right on the top bunk making it uncomfortable for my child to sleep there at night and we could not use the TV because the remote had disappeared thanks to previous guest. What I am going to write next is not meant to be a negative because this truly is a great hostel. However, it is not really meant for families with young kids. It is more for the single travelers. Everyone was great to my family but the room that accommodates a family of four is right next to the common area. Each night the music is playing and people are hanging out...as they should. Fortunately, my kids can sleep through loud noises and it does quiet down at 11 pm. The smoking area was right next to our room also. It is hard to write this because it is a great space with kind staff, I just would like to let other families know.

Fruit and pancakes for breakfast is a very nice touch and a great start to the day in the tropics! The staff is very friendly and the service comes with a smile.

The bathrooms are clean but could be nicer. The common areas are great but could be made more comfortable for lounging. The space is there, it is a matter of using a bit of imagination :-)

great location, amazing room with all that you need and nicely decorated (which is really not always the case in Costa Rica) and great pool . we came with our toddler and all was fine

the strong smell of beer all around the living room and the kitchen + all the common area tools to cook were really old.
