Always love to come back here during my holidays in Amed. the place is truly beautiful, quite and beachfront. Great snorkeling right in front of the place, with lots of fish and corals. The staff is amazingly kind, friendly and helpful they'll make you feel home. I will always come back....

Staff were excellent, very friendly, very helpful! Location right on the beach in a spot with snorkeling just offshore. Blackout curtains ensured my room was dark enough I had two great nights of sleep.

I had great sleep here but I think that was maybe in spite of the bed, it was quite small which wasn’t a problem for my wife and I, and it was reasonably comfortable, but could have been better, maybe a bit old. The room seems in need of a facelift in general, but especially the bathroom. The bathroom was kind of gross, I’ve seen way worse in SEA but yea, not nice, and you’ll spend as much time playing with the shower to find the needle thin spot for the handle to be in that isn’t cold or scalding hot, as you will actually showering.

The only reason I gave it a rating 6, ie. pleasant is that I loved the location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault the people working there. The linen was clean and the facilities like the pool and the restaurant was clean too. The food was yummy and beautiful cooked. The beach is one of the cleaner ones (not as much floating rubbish as on other beaches) and it's amazing how you can snorkel straight from the beach. And Popcorn the cat is such a boss. I loved her company.

The room was awful as was the bathroom. No water pressure and the mixer was gone too. Either I had boiling hot or cold water. The shower, sink and toilet just terrible and not just old. The aircon was inconsistent and when sitting on the toilet the condensation was dripping on you. The bed was very uncomfortable. One could feel every spring of the mattress. The bed was far too big for the room. I had no wardrobe or dresser to put my clothes anywhere. A desk and chair was it. There was no mosquito net or any insect repellent device in the room or outside where the restaurant was. This is definitely needed during the more humid season. This is not what you want on a holiday where you feel uncomfortable and can't wait to get home to your own bed. I'd rather pay a bit more but have a comfortable stay. Won't come back if the facilities stay the way they are.

Very friendly personel. Can arrange a scooter, trips etc. They have coffee & Tea around 4pm. All kinds of activities where you participate. We made some home made gado gado and offerings. It's a cozy place. Great for chilling on the beach and pool. You will miss this place when you leave.

Bathrooms could do with some maintenance.

The mattress was very firm. The bathroom was dated but didn’t bother me.

Amazing staff in a nice hotel at the beach. good snorkelen from the beach. wonderful reception with massage and footbath and a juich. Durbuy the day they serve a free afternoon tea with dwepers. very, very friendly staff!

It is not central in Amed but has shops and nice restaurants around.

Best staff in Amed! For such a good price I was surprised about the beauty of the place, the standard and the quality of service. Great value for a good price!

Staff was super awesome and realized it was my birthday from the copy of my passport, and made the entire stay extra special and even went out of there way to bring me a banana pancake with a candle and sang to me. room was great as well!

I would like a guest-accessible water refill station so we can refill water bottle as needed.

The location was perfect, right on the beach. My room had a great view of the sea. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Was able to sort bike and snorkelling gear hire really easily.

The shower was in the bath. A proper shower would improve it alot. Also the bidet water stank.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. One of the best experiences we ever had!

- if you like snorkeling, this place is a must. In front of the hotel there starts an amazing coral reef. Perfect also for beginners since it is really shallow. (We even saw multiple sea turtles!) We did a paid snorkling trip on nusa penida, but this was better. - the staff is super friendly and in a good mood. They make your stay very pleasant. The free activities were fantastic! - there are some negatives, but price v quality it is definitely a 10/10

- the rooms and pool definitely have seen better days, and need maintenance. (It all worked fine, it just didn't look great) But as a remark, this might be due to Covid, and price quality wise it is still amazing..

Wonderful staff, very friendly, open and helpfull. Restaurant with tasty food, very good complimentary breakfast. Lovely pool and resting area. Highly recommend renting scooter and get some massages. Overall really relaxing stay, if visiting Amed again certanly will stay in this place again.

We stayed here for 6 nights in early July. The bungalows are right on the beach. Our room upstairs was very clean and spacious. We were made to feel very welcome by the attentive staff. The breakfast and food in general was delicious and good portion size. It is an extremely relaxing venue with a lovely pool to jump into to cool off. There are many warungs within 500m of the bungalows. The highlight was being able to snorkel right off the beach. Once the waves settle down and visibility improves just snorkel to the left of the bungalows. The coral is quite stunning. You need to snorkel for at least 300m parallel to the beach but only 30m from the beach. We certainly recommend these bungalows.

Nothing to whine about

The staff were amazing, friendly and caring. The location was great, quiet and peaceful with the sound of the ocean. The snorkelling in front of the hotel was sensational.

Our stay in Sunshine Bungalows will probably remain one of our best memories in Bali. Yes the room is outdated, the bathroom is honestly of another age but we actually didn't care at all as the rest was just great. Firstly, the staff is just so friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay as perfect as possible. Little details make huge difference: they called us by our names, asked about us, offered us afternoon tea, organized free activities and helped us book diving lessons and trek to Mount Batur,... And well, waking up, having the beach and the sea (with a great snorkeling spot btw) just for ourselves, tasted like paradise...we didn't want to leave.

This is an absolute gem! Gorgeous staff who are very friendly and helpful, comfortable clean room with good aircon, nice pool, delicious a la carte breakfast, fantastic snorkeling from the beach in front of hotel. I was taken for a hike of Bangle village by Sulis, and Hendra took me on a couple of tours. I highly recommend

Beds were a little hard for myself

Located on the beach, our room had a large balcony overlooking the beach in from and the pool and courtyard to the side. The room was large and very clean. Very attentive staff. We rented a motorbike from them and traveled around the area, especially off into the hills -- very nice. A great breakfast is included. All the staff wore masks as did we. We asked that they not clean our room so as to minimize Covid transmission.

Perfect stay with perfect staff, activities, swimming pool and spa !! It was so cool to enjoy snorkeling from the beach just in front of the hotel

All staff are super helpful. They organize all our 5 days activities (we are family of 4 with 2 bigger kids), and all went smooth. One highlight for me was, I joined their free Balinese dancing class, and couple hours later I ended up dancing wearing full costume & make-up with all the girl staffs.....it was really fun!! :-)

The water flow (hot-cold setting) is unstable in all rooms.

Everything was perfect. All the staff from sunshine bungalows are super friendly and do anything they can to make your stay perfect. The hotel is far better than in the photos.
