Reds Residency is one of the first homestays in Fort Kochi, started by a couple who love entertaining guests. The place has such a good vibe. Loved the breakfast, the cosy reading room and the garden. The owners were friendly, welcoming and really attentive to my needs. If you are looking for a home to stay in Fort Kochi, then this is it.

Mosquitos! Fort Kochi is famous for that! Also, the room I booked was too small for my daily yoga practice. The next time I'm there, I'm definitely booking the larger rooms.

Melissa is the highlight of homestay as she is very helpful with planning everything and giving recommendations. Location was convenient as could walk to fort Cochin. Room has all basic requirements and good AC. The shared living room has games and books. Home has many plants and flowers so is beautiful.

The host was super helpful and flexible. We wanted to stay another night and even though there were a lot of bookings, she had a room for us.

The owner was very obliging she let me check in early and gave me some breakfast because I had arrived so early. The location was ideal for sight seeing in fort kochi. Clean room.

My room was next to the road so it was noisy but fine with ear plugs.

Melisa was an absolute dream - she was so helpful at telling us what we should go and see in Fort Kochi. Her breakfasts were delicious, too! Room was clean and loved the cute courtyard covered in flowers outside.

The bathroom could have been a little bit nicer, but that really didn't matter compared to everything else!

RR has lovely owners who made us feel welcome and provided lots of fab recommendations. The room we had was spacious and fairly clean. Although the walk to the centre of town is about 15-20mins, it’s a nice walk so we didn’t mind.

The road outside our thin window was very loud even at night. We found ants in the room too (luckily just before checking out!). Couldn’t get hot water for the shower.

Host Melissa is truly fabulous: great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She's got the contacts to organise some backwater trips for you: she found a great boat starting in Kumarakom, a lovely quiter alternative to Allepy.

The residency is about a 25 minute walk to central Fort Kochi (or, of course, a fast 7 minute tuk tuk ride), but the cheaper price makes up for it. Breakfast is a fixed time and you are woken up with 70s/80s pop songs when that time comes.

The owners are very very kind and allways willing to help.breakfast is delicious. Melissa is full of very good advices where to go and what to do.

Moskito nets should be put on doors and windows not only on a bed.

Melissa and the staff here are so caring, kind and helpful, they go out of their way to help you on anything you need. The property is located in a walkable distance to the main area of Kochi and is a very cute atmosphere to relax in.

Our stay at RR was really great. Our host Melissa and her team kept us comfortable and we felt very homey. The room was clean, the breakfast exceptionally good with homemade variations every day. Melissa told us a lot of practical informations and was eager to help us with the organisation of our stay and further trip. The location is in perfect walking distance to the city. All in all our stay at RR was a perfect first step into India for us.

Breakfast was a consistent highlight. The room was comfortable and the air-conditioning was very welcome. Melissa and her colleagues were friendly and generous hosts and know everything a traveller needs to know when getting around Kochi.

The property was in a great quiet location and was very clean, with a nice homely feel. Maryann was extremely tentative and made sure we had a great stay, providing lots of tips and information to us on our arrival. The breakfast was also great!

We went without AC due to having to pay extra, would be nice if this was included in the original price.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. She even told us some nice places to visit and to eat. The room was extremely well priced for its quality. We also loved the Indian breakfast they provided for us. The whole feel of the place was lovely. Being surrounded by the home's plants was very special.

To be honest, there is nothing to be liked about. It is just a room with a private bathroom.

Don’t trust the reviews. The owner is super weird, and made bizarre assumptions about relations with a friend I was staying. Also, her dad doesn’t know how to talk to their customers. I asked for a receipt; he went full mad. It seems like he is having some anger issues. There are also many hidden charges, for they will charge you 500rs/night to use AC.

The building was beautiful with a nice garden outside the room. The hosts were good and provides us with all the requests like hot water to drink and recommendations to go around fort kochi.

The ac was charged extra and was not a part of booking, though I wish it was.
