Service, solutions oriented staff, friendly and always with a smile, THE FOOD at the Malabar Restaurant, the Spa and the property and walks you can take. Boat cruises also available and are fun. Availability of villas with a full kitchen for people with allergies.

Expensive for local Indian pricing, but it is very competitive vs. international rates for the quality of the hotel.

Lots of kids activities even if most were charged.

The reception staff were curt and not pleasant.

The breakfast was bloody AWESOME!! The menu and the taste of the Kerala Food was excellent!! I personally congratulated the chef myself on the wonderful dishes at the breakfast buffet! Outstanding!

No way shape or form this hotel meets the 5 Star standard and expectations which is shocking. Rooms were poorly arranged. The furniture was all over the place. Disorganized look left by the cleaning crew obviously. Unclean and stained flooring. The rain shower didn't work. The hot water cut off intermittently. The noise and dragging of furniture from the room top restaurant was horrendous. They kept dragging the furniture around until late in the night which meant an unpleasant noisy environment! Shocked this so called "5 Star" hotel doesn't even have adequate sound proofing! very poor experience. Will never recommend or stay here again. Definitely NOT a 5 star hotel. Don't be fooled! Shocking its a Hyatt brand! Very unwelcoming staff upon our arrival at the hotel. Had my 4 year old asleep on my shoulders and had a suitcase in my hand. There were at least 10 staff members just staring at us struggling with the suitcases. They just stood there and didn't even bother helping us with the door. The receptionist was also watching the show from the inside didn't even bother organizing any assistance regardless. Very poor form from the hotel staff. I get better service from 3 star hotels. On my first day we went down to reception prior to exploring the city. So we asked the staff downstairs regarding how to go about and reach our destination - they just looked so confused and had no clue about places or destinations to visit. Poor communication and personnel skills from the staff. Appeared as if even they didn't know what they were doing there. When I asked if it was better to take a cab or public transport due to any potential traffic - his condescending response was "How am I supposed to know what the traffic is like?" Yea, but aren't you a local there? surely you should know when the peaks are?.. Overall experience was dissapointing to say the least.

Most things I liked but if you go mainly to sleep and noise then everything you don’t like.
