The hotel exceeded our expectations. Great location. It's very nice, clean, and right on the beach. We were in the Executive Suite with Sea View-Private Pool and Sauna. Amazing room, for a dicent price! Very good breakfast that was included. A big selection of fresh food. For the guests of the hotel there is a discount for renting umbrellas and chairs at the beach. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our flight back was later in the day and they let us check out later. We used their taxi service. It was on time and easy to arrange.

The hotel is in a perfect location. The staff is really helpful. The room is clean and not smelly. The breakfast was good and there is a lot option to choose from. They don’t have parking so you have to park on the street. We were luck and find one in front of the hotel.

The hotel is very nice, new rooms decorated with a lot of taste, spacious, had a room with sea view, really enjoyed spending some time on the balcony in the evenings. Would definetly recommend and if I'll be back will definetly return to Swell Boutique Hotel.

The room can be noisy at night due to the busy street in front of the beach, if you have trouble sleeping with noise, I'd recommend to book a room without the sea view.

The hotel is an absolute treasure: The owner agreed for us to bring our pet, against hotel policy. The rooms were huge - two floors, with two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The staff was incredibly attentive and forthcoming. The hotel is located near the beach, and the swimming pool is nice, clean, and mostly empty. During the visit I had to work and the wifi was very good too! The bar/restaurant staff are also very nice. I would defiantly come back!

Nice hotel, good location

Very attentive and responsive staff, welcome drink provided, very good location, a lot of restaurants and shops around. The beach is very close, and towels are provided for free. Good WiFi connection.

The AC system was weak, no soap bars were provided by default so had to ask and sometimes they wouldn't have them. The toiletries were provided in small bottles so if you want to take shower 2 or 3 times a day, you would need to ask for more bottles or buy a bottle of shower gel yourself. Breakfast was good, however, quite a boring one.

Very nice hotel right at the beachfront. 10 minutes from the city centre and with rooms that have an awesome view to the sunset. Clean and comfortable beds, to be recommended

Lovely boutique hotel close to Rethymno town

We stayed in the suite with a private pool and a sauna. It was extremely nice, one of the best rooms we’ve been in. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice and friendly staff. Loved this place!

It was quite expensive but we thought worth it for a treat!

Very handy for the beach. We had a sea view suite so the room was very spacious and had a great balcony. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and the bed was large and comfortable.

The room was a little tired - probably ready for a lick of paint and some bits to be replaced. Would have expected a bit more luxury for the price paid. The area is a bit soulless - lots of hotels and restaurants with picture menus but it’s an easy walk into the old town which is lovely.

Top floor LOFT style apartment with 2 balconies, including the one on the corner of the building, with unforgettable sea view and possibility to enjoy fantastic sunset straight from Your private area with the glass of wine! Amazing people both in reception and hospitality areas. Great breakfast with hot and cold buffet and variety of fruits. A glass of fresh orange juice delivered to each guest at the breakfast table is just another small thing which makes a difference. We enjoyed our stay so much that prolonged it for another night. Will definitely return, once in Crete!

The only thing for improvement is breakfast coffee solution- from current instant to bean to cup.

Best experience during uncertain time! Strongly recommended! hotel stuff are very friendly, supportive and helpful. Fir any questions and doubts we could get very precise answer and guidelines. hospitality: we were very pleased with hospitality, hotel managers made everything that we felt ourselves as at home; Organisation: we literally didn’t worry about anything, hotel booked taxi for us for a good price as well as PCR test, where doctor came to our room and we got results the next day; Food: everything was fresh and delicious and we are grateful to hotel managers that we could modify our menu and add what we want to have the next days for dinner. Fish menu was our favourite :) Beach: Hotel is located on the first line and you can rent umbrella & 2 benches for a special price from hotel - 7€. Towels are for free.

Close to the beach, the old town, spacious room, pleasant staff

Parking is exactly 4 spots and the hotel manager uses one of them. Street parking is free but very hard to come by so plan accordingly. Breakfast was rather disappointing, few fresh vegetables, some deli slices, omelet. Main road is quite busy and loud. While I was expecting a fairly updated hotel from the pictures, the reality this is an older building, with an old smelly elevator, and in need of a refresh. I would likely not stay here again.

We had an amazing stay close to the Marina of Rethymno. Very nice staff and clean accomodation for a very good price. Fast WIFI internet. Nice view, beach on the other side of the road, many little shops in the street, and easy to walk to the old town and to the venetian harbour. Thank you very much!
