nice Clean Hotel with a nice pool right across the street from the beach

On a personal note, it turned out that this was (unwittingly) the same hotel that we stayed at 20 years ago. It still had all of the charm and beauty that it had back then, though it has been somewhat refreshed. Pool was excellent, especially for those with some walking difficulties. Easy to get in an get out. Nice balcony and very good air conditioning, and hot water shower. Fondly remember all of the beautifully carved doors. Staff was extremely helpful. Could not have been more centrally located. Overall, very pleased with the stay.

Being centrally located does have a drawback if you are a light sleeper. Tamarindo is a tourist site and the bar scene goes on until about 2 AM and ends with a bang LOL Also one caution (and this goes for just about anywhere in Costa Rica). Beware the highly glazed tile floors in the bathroom. Extremely slippery when wet.

the location and the balcony were new. though there was not privacy between the rooms. The desk lady was lovely.

The rooms had terrible acoustics. I could hear “everything” from the next door room. I did not use the pool at all as it looked cloudy and dirty. importantly DO NOT get book transport to Liberia through them. I was charged $90 for the most discussing car I have ever been in. There was mould all over the ceiling if the car. The seatbelts didnt work, tint iff windows and grime everywhere. I was suprised it made it- though i had no choice but to take this as I would have possibly missed my flight. It was so dodgy. I had to change cars at a service station. getting into a real taxi, as these are only alllowed to enter the airport.

Great location until the music starts at about 10 pm and goes till 3 in the morning. staff very helpful. Car battery died and manager helped me out with jumper cables. Saved my day!

poor WiFi in the room, pillows were very lumpy, bedding was getting to the point of replacing.

The hotel is clean and safe, located across from the beach and near lots of good restaurants and bistros. This did make it noisy, but it quieted down around 10ish, so not terrible. The pool is clean and nicely landscaped but the chairs were not very comfortable.

While the bed was comfortable the pillows were terrible. like basically just a pillowcase. The hotel ran out of hot water, no water at all. It took a day to fix, which is understandable, but there was no response when we said something. Like it was new, unremarkable information each time we asked about it.

Wonderful place, close to the beach

The hotel was 1 minute away from the beach and right in the center of the town. Walking distance to everything. The pool was great and there was an outside kitchen available for use. I did BBQs there. I parked my car for free on the property instead of leaving it in the street.

Tamarindo is a party place. So it gets really noisy at night. There is noise, disco music, people screaming, until 2AM. The shower in the room was really old. Mon breakfast in the hotel.
