Location was amazing! We had incredible view of the canal just below us as well as the castle. Know that with views like this from high up, there are going to be stairs and buildings this old in Europe do not have elevators. This was a wonderful apartment. Weather was unseasonably warm during our stay and thankfully, the owners had 2 very good fans to help keep the apartment cool.

The location is great - 10 mins walk from the station, apartment is right in the middle of many restaurants, terrific delicatessen directly below with lovely pre-prepared meals, bakery and fruit and veg shop just over the street, and fantastic view exactly as the photos show. The apartment is spacious with a separate bedroom, lounge & dining, good kitchen, separate toilet. Sofa bed in the living room. There is a washing machine and drying rack and a dishwasher. Although the apartment is right in the middle of the tourist area it is fairly quiet - you can hear noise from the restaurants in the evening but it quietens down and mornings were very quiet. NB this is a privately owned apartment and despite what booking.com says the owner will not meet you on site. The key to the apartment is in a lockbox to the right of the apartment door and you need to receive the code for the lockbox and for the door from the street. We found it easiest to communicate with the owner via Whatsapp and he was very responsive to messages sent that way.

As everyone says, the stairs - 68 of them - are the drawback. The building is very old with a spiral staircase, stairs are uneven, so getting up and down with luggage is a real task. A longer stay will make it more worthwhile! Bath is a bit difficult to get in and out of and a bit slippery, and with a shower over the bath you can end up with water all over the bathroom. Be careful walking from living room into the bedroom - we stubbed toes on the track for the sliding door numerous times before we decided to put a mat over it. This is a very old building and as some have commented you do hear people moving in the flat above although it didn't bother us much.

The location of the apartment was perfect. The apartment was very cosy, quaint and clean with a beautiful view. We loved it.

Unfortunately, as an old building we could here the tenants above moving around a lot. It was quite creepy at night as it sounded like they were in our apartment.

Location, outlook & the divine delicatessen with handmade goodies only 2 doors away!! Yum!! 🥰

spacious apartment right on the river, I just loved it. feels like a home, not a sterile hotel. even has a 1960s record player & washing machine!!

i panicked when I arrived & the front entrance was locked, with no answer on the phone. but eventually I got through. It was because I booked at the last minute. Maybe confirm the stay, and if you have to call, use what’s app rather than a normal phone call, however if you receive instructions on how to get in you will be fine.
