The onsite housekeeper/manager and her staff/family were very friendly and helpful, trying hard to please. They did the best they could with a dated property. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to the town centre/sights and a recently updated hotel offering great meals. The room had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, although the space to use it was a bit cramped.

Initially we thought the place looked a bit "dodgy", as it looks tired and a bit unkempt outside as well as being close to a late night taxi rank. However the helpful staff, great location and cleanliness made our stay very satisfactory. Security was not a problem for us.

Motel had all required facilities. Room is a reasonable size. Motel is within walking distance of Art Deco buildings in CBD. Fan in centre of ceiling means that lights are three quarters of the way up the walls. Lighting is satisfactory.

You have to go to reception at Black Marlin Motel to get key to room at this motel. Neither motel is on the highway. Locating them took some time.

Very standard motel room.

Had to lug my heavy luggage up stairs. Chain-smoking neighbour coughing outside throughout the night - I also had to roll up a damp towel and place it over the large door gap to stop the stench from coming inside.

I liked how close it was to the centre of town

Everything else! Very rundown premises but I found all accomodation in this town to be very similar. Lady checking us in was very nice and firendly. Room was very clean. Just very old and outdated. People in room 2 doors up (site manager and family/friends I believe) were outside talking and chain smoking until all hours..... and up talking outside with phone on load speaker from 7am next morning. We rolled a towel up and placed at gap under front door to stop smoke from coming into our room.

An older style motel located opposite a supermarket in central Innisfail and also near an early opening, breakfast cafe. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The great television reception allowed me to see Queensland win the first "State of Origin" game without disruption. Go Queensland!!!!
