I liked the beds, staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay and be comfortable

The family suite was spacious and private.
The furniture in the lounge, could do with an upgrade, it's all broken and torn.

The 2 ladies managing the place is so helpful and friendly. They made us feel at home, check in was fast and easy, they helped us carry our luggage to our room. The room was clean and even included housekeeping which I thought was an extra cost but when we arrive back the Saturday morning from our church service I was so shocked to see the room clean and tidy again.... We really enjoyed our stay, will recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay while visiting Jhb. The are was safe as well and walking distance to the shopping centre which was a bonus due to loadshedding lol.
Not the properties fault, but municipality lol..... The loadshedding wasn't nice

The place was worth everything and the staff, Normia and team were all exceptional. Extended my stay without hassle and will definitely return.

Extremely impressed with the warm welcoming I received upon arrival. Staff were friendly enough to show me around the property. Room was neat and tidy.
Will definitely be staying there again. 😉

Excellent location for getting to meetings in Northriding
Shower has very low flow and not good at all. The complimentary soap does not lather and is a waste. The position of the wash basin is not comfortable and awkward to use - poorly constructed. The mattress is well used and lumpy - needs to be replaced.

Outside our room was table and chairs they were scruffy. Torn covers and left out in the rain. Not conducive to sitting on. The pics were better than the real thing. This is the second disappointing booking through booking.com..however the bed was comfortable TV boutique good and breakfast okay.

Booked for relatives for my wedding. It was a good place. They were all happy about the property. Staff was very nice and friendly especially Esther, she went out of her way to help where needed

Birch Tree was brilliant, it was good value for money with a great quiet location. It was clean and welcoming, beds were comfy with electric blankets for the chilly days. The bathrooms were great and very clean. Added bonuses with the tea and coffee as well as plates, cups and cutlery. A braai stand was provided which was great for my family. The entire house was cozy with thoughtful, sweet touches. All in all the place was a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Birch Tree Cottage is basically our home away from home. From friendly staff who always go out of their way to make our staying comfortable to the best and well managed rooms and everything in between.

Very quiet place and the staff was very friendly. They made sure we were comfortable and offered us a heater as the living room was very cold. They prepared a lovely breakfast for my family in the lovely garden with beautiful plants.

Very cold since it's wintertime but could be cool in summer. Could be better with a specific aircon for that kind of living room.
I expected a bunk bed as per the booking .com details but there was only 1 sleeper bed.
