The road to the hotel is challenging

The place was beautiful and the staff incredibly friendly and attentive

Little further out of the Douro main region but it did have very beautiful hikes near by

- gorgeous, unique setting - modern architecture - peaceful - rooms / property were comfortable & clean - very friendly & helpful staff

- the drive down and back up the hill to the property is very tricky, steep and frightening. - kitchen not so well equipped for large group cooking (we were a family of 9) - Pity there were no hammocks foreseen at the picknick area

The location by the river is outstanding…

Getting in and out of the hotel is always a relatively long drive in curvy roads.

The location and views are really amazing. Great spot to relax with friends and family.

Not all facilities were working or were available: no fitness equipment available, no jacuzzi and no laundry facilities. The road to the property is indeed challenging, as a lot of the reviews already mention

If douro green had food options available it would be perfect - as the access is difficult, having food options or a delivery option could improve the experience, specially when guests arrive late

Super friendly and professional staff.

the location is somewhat a mixed feeling. It is riverside and marvellous. But the road to get there is pretty terrible. You can have a pretty bad experience on that road that can undermine all your stay. super narrow and steep. And I mean STEEP. One way only and if you happen to meet with another vehicle on the road can be really really difficult if you are not a very experienced driver. It makes it really discouraging to go out for a meal or something. You don't want to ride that road. This for me was a major mood killer as I worried a lot about the car skidding on the rain. Even skipped supper to avoid riding! Eventually everything worked out OK. But the disconfort was always present and that is something I do not want on vacation.
