Il posto si trova in una posizione strategica con una vista molto bella sulla montagna a picco su di un mare dai colori mozzafiato. I monolocali sono oltremodo ampi e pulitissimi . I nostri avevano anche un bel terrazzino . All'arrivo abbiamo trovato dell'acqua e del succo d'arancia . Le pulizie erano giornaliere e gli asciugamani e le lenzuola erano di buona qualità . La spiaggia è raggiungile in 3 minuti a piedi e in zona vi sono 4 ristoranti raggiungibili a piedi . Il proprietario era di una gentilezza e premura di altri tempi. La colazione ha soddisfatto le nostre esigenze . Dalle nostre stanze si poteva sentire il rumore del mare di notte . La spiaggia è bella , attrezzata e comoda . Il mare è semplicemente spettacolare come solo Karpathos può offrire . Consiglio almeno 10 giorni per godersela con calma la meraviglia di questo piccolo gioiello .Ci tornerei volentieri qui a Blue Waves Studio.

Von der Unterkunft muss man nur einige Stufen nach unten gehen, um zur Bucht zu gelangen. Dort kann man in klarem, sauberen Wasser wunderbar schwimmen und wenn man früh aufsteht den Sonnenaufgang erleben. Das ist das Besondere an Blue Waves! Gegen eine Gebühr sind Liegen und Sonnenschirme auszuleihen oder aber man sucht sich im Schatten einer Tamariske oder der Felsen ein schattiges Plätzchen. Der Besitzer von Blue Waves ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wie auch die Servicekraft. Das Zimmer ist großzügig, ein Kühlschrank und 2 Herdplatten (eine große und eine kleine) sind vorhanden, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Wir fanden es außerdem sehr angenehm, dass der Balkon im Schatten lag. Dort konnten wir morgens schön frühstücken oder aber auch bis zum Abend sitzen und lesen. Es gab eine Außenlampe. In Kyra Panagia gibt es verschiedene Tavernen und auch einen Minimarkt, der allerdings nicht ganz günstig und die Auswahl begrenzt ist. Von dort aus kann man schöne Touren unternehmen, um das reizvolle Karpathos näher kennenzulernen. Es gibt Möglichkeit zum Wandern, Bergdörfer zu besuchen, andere Buchten aufzusuchen oder in die Inselhauptstadt zu fahren.

Die Küche ist minimal ausgestattet, aber für ein Frühstück oder einen Snack reicht es. Leider gibt es dort auch Mücken.

Great accomodation in Kyra Panagia! We spent 2 weeks at blue waves studios and we do not regreat it. The rooms are simple but clean, big and functional, the balcony overlooking the beautiful beach is just great to have breakfast or a drink before dinner. The staff is helpful and always smiling, we recommend 100%. Thanks!!!

Location was spectacular - RIGHT next to the gorgeous church with the most scenic overlook to the beach, which was only a very short walk down a few stairs. You can see the ocean from the. Alfino of the room. Location was absolutely dreamy. The family that runs the hotel took such good care of us and the beach location we chose to make our “homebase” during our Karpathos stay was stellar. Sophia’s Taverna was exceptional. Everything about this visit exceeded our expectations!!

Great location to reach the most famous beaches in Karpathos, close to fantastic restaurants Sofia’s, 3min walk to Kyria Panagia beach, 20min to Pigadia, friendly owner, fresh towels regularly, nice balcony

The room was much more spacious than it looked in the pictures. As Kyra Panagia is a smaller area where you turn off the main road and one road leads down to it, the location was nice as it's a few steps to the beach and a short drive to other closeby beaches such as Achata and Apella. The owner was very friendly and kind when we found the beds too uncomfortable he did his best to make up for it in wine and sweets which was much appreciated! A beautiful view from the upper room balcony. They provided a mosquito plug-in to help keep them away which was considerate.

The bed was very hard for my partner and I, after telling the hotel owner we weren't able to sleep he explained they're all medium firmness and was kind about it. However, we were not able to sleep - as our stay was longer than a week we tried sleeping on the fold-out couch which wasn't optimal after paying so much needing to "sleep" on the couch. Upon arrival, I dusted the surfaces with toilet paper as they were dusty, could use a deep clean. Aside from these two aspects, for the price and location it was a good place. If you're on the more slender side good luck sleeping on the beds! I understand everyone has different preferences of mattresses, however, as a frequent traveler I have never suffered to this degree before. For background info - I may prefer "softer" mattresses, however my partner is able to sleep camping in a tent with a light mattress pad, but wasn't able to sleep on the mattress here.

Charming guest house with friendly host, decorated in the colours of the Greek flag, tucked away at the foot of the mountains surrounding the beautiful little bay of Kyra Panagia. Peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to switch off and recharge the batteries. The room was spacious and comfortable with views of the bay from the balcony. Spotlessly clean, with bed linen changed every other day. Well equipped kitchenette and seating area. Best of all a decent sized shower that did not flood after every use, as is prone to do in many Greek establishments! Though I prepared my own most days, breakfast was adequate, though would have preferred freshly squeezed oj, especially as oranges are plentiful, sweet and juicy in the summer, instead of from a carton, which personally I think tastes vile! Loved dining at Sofia’s Taverna, just up the road, especially the Karpathian shrimp, which were to die for!
