It was pretty easy and simple to check in and out
It was a bit far from the beach or anything, just in a seemingly residential area

Great place, not at the beach but it’s super close (10 min walk), the people there are super nice and chilled, really liked the vibe!! there‘s coffee all the time for free and a Kitchen to use, with the pool the perfect place to hang out and relax :)

The beds are comfortable and there's a lot of utilities in the kitchen, there's a big table and shared living room. Coffee is for free. The swimming pool it's cleaned daily. There's a bus stop down the road.
There's only 2 bathrooms when there's a full house it's a lot of people and long time to wait and they are quite dirty.The garden is also full of the dog litter. It's quite far from the beach but walkable 15-20 minutes. Bring your own lock.

We can highly recommend this very great place.
absolute nice owner and Staff, very clean, a lot of space in common areas, nice big kitchen with two fridges lots of space for own food to store and well equipped as well as the area outside with tables chairs umbrellas for the sun a nice pool to cool down. it is a short 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to the area with restaurants and bars. right next door there is a mini Super and down the road there is the busstop where the busses pass towards Jaco for around 800 colones about 10 minutes drive. very easy

This hostel is a gem in Costa Rica! Lovely little compound, great common area and beaaaautiful pool. Beds are really comfy, and the rooms have both A/C and a fan! 100% recommended.

Maxi is a very good and attentive host, help me with everything, ironing, taxi, gave me advices where is a good food and etc. recommend his place to stay 100%
not related to property, but Uber doesn’t work very fast or frequently at that area, so it’s better to call red taxi if you want to go somewhere, or come by car.

Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful well maintained pool. Minutes away from fabulous surf beach. I have stayed here twice and would definitely repeat the experience.

I lost my phone in an Uber, and the owner and personnel went out of their way to help me retrieve it. 10/10 would recommend.

- nice vibes in general
- toilet flushing was broken every single day (there was always brown rests from the person before in the toilet swimming)
- gas in the kitchen didn't work most of the time and it took a long time before it got refilled
- wifi was broken 70% of the time
- the floor of the dorms never got cleaned in 4 days

Nice vibe. Not too many guests in the hostel, therefore everyone just sat outside to chat a bit and drink a beer in the evening. Little supermarket only 5min away. Rooms were clean and not too crammed with beds.
The beach is quite far away and if you don't have a car, you have to walk along a big road for 20 minutes. Bicycles are provided, but they are very old and almost fall apart. The beach is good for surfing but not for swimming (currents too strong).

The room was fair enough, but in general the facilities are very poor without maintenance. The thing I liked was the breakfast and that it was a quite place.
just two bathrooms for an entire house with many beds (probably more than 20); the kitchen was very old and the stove was not working, I was not able to even boil water; the pool was Ok but I did not use it because it was clean and smelled of chlorine; the location was a little bit far from the beach. So I definitely will not stay again.

The Staff was amazing, they really made us feel home and we felt super comfortable.

The Pool is nice and clean, also the breakfast was very delicious and a good platefull. Good equipted kitchen. Nice and cosy indoor area.
There are only two bathrooms for the whole house. Ants are almost everywhere!! (Floor, kitchen, but not in my room)
The Wifi is sometimes miserabel which means completly not working. The location is far of Jaco but in (a long) walking distance to Playa Hermosa.

It is a nice proper hostel located just 12 min from playa Hermosa. It is our first time staying in a hostel due to last min booking on a very busy weekend. Breakfast was very good, bed was OK in the private room. The staff are excellent. There was a gap in terms of value for money. Toilets and kitchen could be cleaned better and regular plumbing maintenance is a must in such places due to the slow water drainage.

amazing staff and atmosphere with great surfing nearby. Met some lovely people and I’m sure we’ll be back again soon.
location could be a little closer to restaurants but kitchen is great so easy to cook for yourself
