If you want to really live a local experience, go there, Efraim and his family are wonderful. It is a little bit remote (15-20 min walk from the main road), but the walk is really flat and nice because you can see that you are really living with the locals. The price for the room are really good for what you have. They were really welcoming and they treated us like family members. They offer all the informations about the activities to do in Ometepe. You can do the conception and the maderas hikes with them and they are cheaper than everybody. We rent scooter and they did everything. We asked them for the scooter at 9:00 p.m. and the next morning, the scooter was deliver at 7:00 a.m. straight in the parking spot of the hostel. We loved the location in the nature (you really are in a banana plantation) and also the nice hosts. We stayed there 5 nights and it was really good. The food is very tasty (made directly by Efraim's wife), everything tastes fresh. Would recommend 100% if you like to live among the locals. Also, they clean the room everyday.

We really enjoyed the calmness and nature surrounding the place! The host was kind and helpful, he organized a scooter for us. Also it’s quite close to the beach where you enjoy a nice sunrise :)

It’s a 25 minute walk from the town but therefore you’re in the middle of nature. For solo travelers: we were the only travelers staying there for 3 nights (which we actually really enjoyed haha) but maybe is not everyone’s cup of tea.

The friendly staff and spacey room! And the kindness for the owner to share their grown food with customers! ;) the owner very helpful!! Sorted us motorbikes was very helpful,

The bugs and flies but understandably being on a farm you have to expect them right? 😊

Really nice family hostel the place is simple but very comfortable, in the middle of a banana plantation. Efraim the oner is very generous and a really good host. Very nice experience.

Had an amazing time here with my friends for 2 nights. 10mins walk to a lovely beach, nice and affordable food available, and great host who is very helpful organising anything you'd like to do while in Omotepe.

The road is quite rough from Altagracia, but taxi drivers were still happy to drive down there.

quiet location amongst the locals, Ibrahim and his family were kind and accommodating. Had my best sleep in Nica here, food was delicious and large portions. totally recommend.
