Nothing was too much trouble .rooms surrounded by greenery .lovely terrace to sit out on . Home made yogurt available on site and interesting natural products for health also made . The peanut homemade butters and jams also worth tasting .The whole experience was relaxing and made for a perfect stay

By far the best place I've stayed in in the Gambia. The owner, Claudette is great, and so are the staff. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect if, like me, you don't like resorts and want a bit of interaction with the local people. It's a residential area, far from the touts, but close enough to walk to the beach or the better restaurants. The room is great, with a well accommodated kitchen and a fridge, hot water always running, nicely decorated and a wonderful sitting area. There's also a shop that sells locally made products, like honey, yogurt and shea butter. Profits go to their organization that helps to cure burns on children. Absolutely recommended!

Great location. gas oven with all you need pots and pans. safe area with access to western quality dining (steak house) 500m away and a great cheap lokal restaurant with big portions for around 200dalesi. Solomons down by The beach is a great place to have a bath and some food.

dont forget mosquito repellent if you want to sit outside at night. at least they love me.

The location was great. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The beach was at a few minutes walk. The staff was friendly. Claudette is an amazing lady. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

The wifi was a bit slow, which might have been due to rainy season.

A lovely little oasis away from the strip where you can relax and listen to the local residents and wildlife as you drift to sleep. The staff and hosts were incredible. I will absolutely be visiting again next time I'm in town

Busy Bee is a pretty large compound offering several rooms with their own bathrooms and built-in kitchens. They are clean, equipped pretty much down to every details. The big terrace connecting the rooms is covered in plants, rendering a relaxing atmosphere one would wish for in a rather touristy african town. Run by an admirable woman, Claudette, it is a sort of place visitors calls home and keep returning. There is also a small factory inside the compound, where employed local women produces organic products and delicacy such as honey, yogurt, coco delight etc... Only intended to stay 2 days in Kololi, I ended up staying 2 weeks in total, thanks to Busy Bee!

Clean and cozy

The property is conveniently located near restaurants and a supermarket. The owner (Claudette) is an amazing humanitarian, and an asset to her community. She is very knowledgeable concerning The Gambia, and gives helpful social and navigating pointers. Laundering is done absolutely free, and it included some of the best clothing ironing I have experienced in a while. The airport driver (Nasta) is courteous and patient.

The two twin beds that were pushed together were a bit uncomfortable. Instead, a full sized or queen sized bed perhaps would be better.

Positive: Staff unbelievable polite! And the owner Claudette even more!❤️ simple single rooms, very clean, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and all more. streets are pure sand! special, 50 meter to a christian church perfect for me! daily at 7, weekend at 10 am.

In the single rooms the ceiling fan even on highspeed very slow and not efficiency 🥵, very hot room. only one roll toilett paper even for 6 nights. even after i asked the cleaning staff. no problem for me, only 80 D for 4 rolls in the market, but i should know before. next time I know it before🤭

Busy Bee is beautiful, clean, quiet and feels like home. The rooms are well decorated and well equipped. The host is the very lovely Claudette that ensured I had a great stay, even gave me a free upgrade. Thanks again Claudette. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
