We were there for a family vacation. The boys loved the swimming pool and the slide. The unit is very nice. We did have a minor issue and the owner took care of it. We would definitely rent this unit again.

We (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 7 & 9) stayed here a week in July. The place was perfect, never have to leave the property if you don't want to. The beach was not crowded and so much to do at the property. The kids loved the soccer field and had nightly kickball or soccer games with many of the other kids. The pool was awesome for us all. The place was clean and well equipped. It is on the small side, but as we were spending all our time outside it was a perfect spot to crash. My husband and kids said it was their favorite vacation ever!

We spent four nights here and enjoyed the condo and the ocean view; truly beautiful! Easy walk to the beach via the private walkway and there are some beach chairs provided. As owners of a rental in a Colorado resort town, there were a few things that I think should be provided to make the guest stays a bit more comfortable/convenient. We had to buy light bulbs, as the bedroom lamps were burned out; there is not a closet in one of the bedrooms, and no luggage racks available. The only closet is in the main bedroom, and there is a grand total of five hangers provided. There is not a towel rack in the hallway bathroom, and neither bathroom has a toilet paper spindle mounted, so the tp has to sit on the counter. We also had to buy trash bags, as we were given one for a four day stay. The TV system is very strange, and we couldn't access many channels with a "real time" broadcast; it was mostly old reruns and other streaming channels. The check in staff were not particularly informative and we had to ask about everything, as the info was not provided, such as where is the condo (which building), where is the elevator located, how do we access the beach, why is the unit number on our parking tag different from the actual unit number, etc. Also, the pool was filled with clean, clear water, the lounge chairs were all out, it was 80+ degrees and sunny, and yet the pool and water slide were closed...and no one could actually tell us why...? Overall, we would stay here again, but......

Cute and comfortable place. Nice amenities and beach access. Communication with hosts excellent. Had 2 minor glitches during stay and the response was timely and generous.

Enjoyed our stay! Great view from the balcony, glad we got the top floor. Suggest finding the room before bringing up your luggage. A little confusing, but makes since once you get there. Great food nearby. Clean and check- in was very easy.

This location was absolutely wonderful! It was a perfect spot oceanfront! The interior is newly renovated. It was clean, neat, and nicely decorated! The sofa was comfortable. The mattresses were super comfy! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves! Lots of activities for kids and teens. Easy access to the beach and local eateries and things to do!

Thank you again for the best week. This unit is my go to place when I need a break. It’s always clean, comfortable and makes me feel at home like even though I’m not “at home”. Josh and Brittany (owners) and the office staff are always wonderful to deal with. Can’t wait to come back soon.

A Place at the Beach never disappoints! This condo has everything you need for the feel of being at home. Kitchen is super well stocked, comfy beds, lots of blankets and great wifi. The sound of the ocean from the balcony eases away all anxiety! Great shelling to the north! Amos Mosquitoes restaurant is a must too!

This unit is clean and utilizes a small space very well. The furniture is comfortable. The complex has a lot of amenities. The beach is very near. The owners are great.

The condo was warm and inviting giving the feeling of home away from home. Beach mindset was definitely in the air with the decor and opening the shades there was a full view of the beach and ocean. The owners were pleasant to work with answering any questions I had and making the whole process enjoyable. I will most certainly rent this unit again if my travels take me to the Atlantic Beach area. The whole experience was exactly what I needed for some downtime. DK

We love this location at the north end of Atlantic Beach and close to Fort Macon. We've stayed in 3 or 4 different units now, and have always had a good experience. This trip we had a few snafus - 2 unit issues and 1 property issue. For the unit - my son was to use the pull out sofa, however the mattress was pretty nasty and there was a mess of sand, melted candy, fingernail clippings, a spring (maybe from a pen?) under the mattress. We promptly folded it back up and he just slept on the couch. There were also no sheets, but thankfully I had brought some. I did take pictures to show the rental office. The other issue was we could not get the tv in the master bedroom to work. Normally in the summer this would not be a problem, but with it being dark at 5:30, there was more tv time than usual. As far as the property issue - neither the indoor pool nor hot tub were heated. I was truly looking forward to hot tub time and swimming after running a half marathon while there. Nope! We went to the outdoor hot tub which thankfully was heated, but there were no jets! Oh well, we sat in it anyway! That is the reason for the overall rating of 3 stars. Overall we still had a good time shelling and visiting Fort Macon. We try to make the best of what we have.

If you’re looking for simple and closeness, this is the place to stay! The unit is really small so be prepared. It has most everything you need for a short stay. The view is nice and the beach great. The property has some great amenities, most we didn’t get to take advantage of just because we were there over Thanksgiving and the weather was chilly. It would be fun to come back when the outdoor pool could be used. The best part was the communication and hospitality of the owners.

We were so happy with our stay. Quite place and beautiful view. We were looking for a short getaway without crowds and that is what we got. The place is nice and cozy. Loved every minute of it and look forward to coming back in the future!!!

Would stay again

This is a small condo but it was just enough room for myself and my husband. Nicely decorated and very convenient to stores and Beaufort, which we like to go to.

All of the pictures accurately represent the property. Our unit was clean and comfortable. The pool and water slide were so much fun! It was great to have a private walkway to the beach! The only downside was an ongoing tv issue but it was a minor inconvenience. All in all, a fun experience!

We stayed with our two children and they absolutely loved the pool and water slide. We actually didn’t spend much time at beach because we couldn’t get them to leave. The condo was very clean and had everything you’d need. The condo is small but it was totally fine for our family of 4. Owner was a breeze to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend it for a small family beach trip.

During our stay, we had a problem with the air conditioning for the unit. We reported the problem to the owners via VRBO text late evening. The owner responded to us within a very short time that same evening. The owners continued to work with us to resolve the problem. They kept us constantly updated on their actions and efforts until the problem was resolved.

What a great little place! Great views, great beach, great town, great resort! What else needs be said!!

The condo "Shorely Anchored" was just perfect for our family of 4. The ocean front condo was extremely clean with beach themed decor. The views from the balcony were absolutely beautiful. The amenities were awesome and provided additional activities during our stay. We would highly recommend this condo for your Atlantic Beach vacation.

This was our first time to Atlantic Beach. The property looked exactly as listed. Very updated property. The location was perfect. It was a quiet and gated property. Perfect to forget about the rest of the world. Everyone in the complex was friendly. Even when everyone was at the pool it did not feel overcrowded. The slide was fun. The property was clean and well maintained. Easy and private access to the beach which also never seemed overcrowded. It was also close to many activities. I will definitely go back again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The condo was just as listed. It's beautiful, and the view is great. We saw dolphins from the balcony twice! Check in and out process was easy. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs, and the mini golf and playground were my kids favorites.

The rental was very nice and comfortable for our family of 4. The view from the patio was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting out there with our morning coffee. The kids loved all of the activities and amenities on the property, especially the water slide; it was nice to have something in addition to the beach. It rained one of the days we were there so we were able to advantage of the indoor pool. The owners were also very nice and responsive when we contacted them. We would definitely stay at this property again.
