Very good place! Exactly what we were looking for, for a short stay in Sigirya. The family is super kind, they helped us with everything we needed, from exploring around to transportation. The breakfast was delicious, as well as their amazing juices. We also needed laundry and they helped us with that as well. Honestly for this price, you CAN'T find any better in the area. Thank you very much for everything 🙏🇱🇰

They made the room really clean, but it’s ground floor so still had cockroaches came into the room through bathroom window.

Excellent value for the price. The room is big, clean and the AC is actually quite cold, which is something of a rarity. Had a very restful sleep and woke up to a very good breakfast of different hoppers and homemade roti. Everything was delicious! The setting is also beautiful, you feel like you are in a kish jungle.

Kind, gentle host, who brought us an ice cold welcome drink after our sweaty journey, gave us delicious breakfasts to eat outside our own front door. Ideally situated, we walked everywhere, even to climb Pidurangula and take in the local area, though rented a scooter for Dambulla. Very comfortable overall. Recommend Sigini Liya for great food in the evenings, just over the road and just 10 metres away, run by lovely friendly family.

i kept calling the place the owner was answering for a sec saying he’s in a meeting and can’t answer now. i had to search for another place

Very friendly and helpful host family. The breakfast was very good too. The room is quite big and the little terrace in front of the room nice for having breakfast or relax. It's a 10 min walk to the main part of the town, but within 2min there are some shops and restaurants.

Perfect place to stay for few nights. Delicious breakfast and friendly owner, who arranged elephant safari for a decent price. Highly recommended. Also next-door there's a restaurant that serves incredible sri lankan food!

It is located very beautiful and close by to the foreigner entrance of sigyria rock. There is a lovely terrace and the room is big, bathroom is very nice! We were happy with everything. Also breakfast was very tasty!

I stayed here for one day only as if I was at home..if you are a nature lover and looking for calm...this is the best choice for you believe me you will not regret...you will live here in the lap of nature a very beautiful place...the owner is a very kind lady who talks Fluent English and her husband is a respectable person who can help you at any time They are good people they helped me a lot.

1. Location is good, its not on the main road and just 8 mins of walking to the "center" ("center" we consider as the Chooti restaurant) 2. The Freedom Home Stay could provide u with the transfer, including the transfer from the airport (by car it took about 4h) 3. To Dambulla the way takes 25 mins by tuk-tuk (1-1.2 thousand rupees) 4. The Lion rock is right next to the place (it has few entrances but the nearest one -u should come to the main road and go to the left, then in few mins u will see the sign), the entrance fee is 30 usd for foreigners 5. Breakfasts in the morning are great! And u can choose any time u need, just arrange it from the evening 6. The Pidurangala is in 4kms or smth, but u can take tuk-tuk, they will wait for u (1.000 rupees for tuk-tuk and 500 rupees is the entrance fee) 7. The place is absolutely the same as on picts, it has warm water in the tap, the shower doesnt have the walls but its fine because there is plenty of space

Freedom Home Stay very nice, clean, safe place to stay. It is a convenient 20-minute walk to Sigiriya Rock but do it early before it gets too hot. The room had a nice view of the neighborhood. Breakfast was the local variety and excellent with egg hoppers and coconut and regular rote plus fruit. The owner got h.er brother to take me to see the sunrise at Pidurangala at 5 am. One of 3 best things I've done in Sri Lanka. First is Mihintale, second sail pn a Negombo catamaran. Freedom Home Stay is a short walk to a variety of extremely reasonable restaurants and shops. You are guaranteed to see elephants and plenty of monkeys. Great place excellent value.
