The house had everything we needed. Our group was 1 year old to 80 & everything in-between. The house was close & convenient to town & grocery stores. Everyone enjoyed the hot tubs. Lot's of privacy with all the bedrooms. We had a mama bear & her 4 cubs come by 3 days in a row. Exciting to see from inside! We also had a few people land on our front porch (for safety) because of bears on the street.

We had 19 in our group. The view is beautiful, and the location is great, only 5 minutes from Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. The house was perfect for our group. It was great to have private bathrooms in each bedroom. We had some issues with showers not draining well, and on Sunday morning within an hour of notifying Tari, they were all fixed. Great service. Tari was very responsive. Overall we were very pleased with the house and had a great stay in Gatlinburg.

Big Buck Lodge was clean and well kept. Mountain view from the balcony was the best!! Our group thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Big Buck Lodge!

Big Buck Lodge is a great rental for large families or groups with 8 master bedrooms and baths in each. The large kitchen and dining area is awesome. The two coffee pots were put to work! But, the views from any of the three decks is amazing. Wake early to watch the clouds form and disappear.

Fifteen of our family members gathered to celebrate our 60 wedding anniversary. The facility was wonderful. It was clean and the view was superb. The owners checked to see if we needed anything. We hope to do it again in the future.

The house accommodates 6 families with little kids well. It was close to good hiking locations and town. The community pool was conveniently close and has everything we needed. Overall we are very happy with the choice to stay at Big Buck.

The home and amenities were fantastic as well as the location! My only issue was with the cleaning staff. The great-room ceiling fan had so much dust build up you couldn't use it for fear it would fall on your food. The mold and cobwebs in the bathrooms was a bit more rustic then I appreciated as well.

Our group of old college friends (we are all in our 50’s and 60’s) had a wonderful weekend at Buck Lodge. The views were incredible and the location to Gatlinburg and hiking were perfect.
We did think it could use a little love but when you have a large house and rent to larger groups things do start to look a little worn. It certainly did not prevent us from having a great time and I would definitely rent this home again. Thanks Tari for sharing Buck Lodge with us!

Our experienced group of close hiking friends had a wonderful 4 day stay at Big Buck Lodge. Location is perfect, close enough to areas of Great Smokies Park, shopping, restaurants and attractions but far enough away to escape the crowds and bustle of Gatlinburg town. The lodge itself is comfortable and well equipped. With 8 BRs and 8 ensuite BAs, it was perfect for our group. Outstanding views as well. Parking is a little tight but accommodated our 8 vehicles. Seating for meals for groups larger than 16 would be a little tight, but was perfect for us. Our group really enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect! Great area…the views of the mountains were amazing! Great size of home for 19 people with mixed ages 1-1/2 years…. 4&5 year olds….7&8 year olds & adults! Communication with owner was spot on and most considerate! The major huge drawback was cleanliness…… that was a great disappointment. I truly do not believe the house was not cleaned for many weeks…. Maybe just lightly “picked up” but not cleaned. The conversations with the owner were prompt and quite apologetic and she showed great remorse for the condition of the house. It was difficult to get past the condition. I believe the owner will truly attempt to improve the situation for future renters.

Location good. Everything was just as they pictured and described. Quick response by owner when questions asked. Storm took out power for 6 hours first afternoon/evening and power company had it back on rapidly. My family had a wonderful time-10 adults and 12 grandkids 3-12 years old. Pool nice. Game room enjoyed by the kids. Overall an excellent experience!!

We stayed with family and had a great time. The view is great but it is starting to get obstructed from trees. We really enjoyed having several rocking chairs. It rained quite a bit while we were there but the covered deck allowed us to enjoy being outside in the rockers without getting wet. We really liked the hot tubs, the resorts pool was not heated so it was quite chilly. The house layout worked great for our needs, but everything could use a good deep clean, lots of dust on ceiling fans and knick-knacks on kitchen shelf. Game room was a lot of fun, arcade games were a big hit and the dual kitchen worked perfect. Overall it was a great stay and we would recommend staying here.

We had 23 immediate family members for the week and the house was perfect! Every bedroom having its own bathroom worked so great. The pool was perfect for the younger kids and the proximity to downtown Gatlinburg could not have been easier. We really enjoyed the stay and the view.

My family and I absolutely loved our time in the Smoky Mountains and made some incredible memories in this house. The view from the deck was spectacular. We spent many hours relaxing in the rocking chairs, looking at the mountains. You can’t beat the location either. Short drive to everything! The house is showing its age but what do you expect when you have 22+ people staying in it each week. Any minor issue we had, the homeowner was very responsive. There was plenty of space for my whole family. Especially loved the two large kitchen tables where we spend much time eating and playing games at. We truly had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed being with our whole family. Pictures of the home were of years ago. Our family treated this home as our own as far as keeping it clean & taking care of what's there. But, being it's a rental & some people may not take care of things like it was theirs. The 2 beds on the floor with the kitchen--VERY uncomfortable. The rest ok. There were 2 of every appliance & that was nice. So, my rating of the home stays the same. The bottom line is we had our family there & enjoyed them.

A great space for our large family reunion. With 3 levels we could all be together or have a bit of alone time. Wonderful views from the multiple decks. Also close enough to the touristy things we wanted to do. Tari was quick to respond to any questions and concerns I had. Highly recommend this property.

Out of all the cabins we’ve stayed in, this cabin fit our large family perfectly!! The double kitchen was definitely a great choice for us. It was well stocked and there was ample room in the dining room for everyone to enjoy a sit down meal together.
The view from this cabin was fantastic and the neighborhood was well established which means you weren’t looking into other cabins. It gave us a true sense of privacy and we enjoyed the evenings sitting outside on the rocking chairs or swings.
The host was extremely nice and attentive before and during our stay. The one small concern I had was addressed immediately!! Seriously couldn’t ask for a smoother “transaction” or nicer property owner.
I would highly recommend a visit to this location. We will definitely be visiting again!!! In my opinion, you won’t be sorry!!

The most common question I got from our group was, "Wow, how did you find this place?" They loved it & it's set up perfectly for larger groups with 2 fridges, 2 ovens, etc. Highly recommend!

The Great: It was awesome to be cozied up right beside Gatlinburg and the National Park with a nice close view of the mountains. The kids loved the game room.
The Exciting: Seeing a black bear wandering around the neighborhood just after dark!
The Not-So: The main room had comfy seating for 5 persons. We found that a little skimpy for our family group. The dishes weren't coming out of dishwasher very clean, even after we rinsed them and ran a cycle of vinegar to clean it.
Conclusion: Our family was celebrating our folks' 50th Anniversary!!! We were so thankful to find a place like this to get together at!

The cabin size was great fir our group! Everyone had a place to sleep. I loved that there was two fridges, ovens, coffee makers and dishwasher. The trash can was tiny for the amount of people that the cabin could hold so I definitely think they should add another one at the other end of the counter or just s much bigger one. The master bathroom on the top floor, farthest away from the front door, had a bad mildew smell. The hot tubs were honestly gross, they smelled horrible and I’m not sure if there was even any chlorine in the water. None of the adults wanted to even get in them, which was a big bummer. There needed to be a couple more towels in each bathroom. Not that this was a huge deal but the lighting on the top floor was not very good, it felt pretty dark and pictures definitely made the kitchen and living room area look a lot bigger than what it was. All in all we had a great time!

We had a cousins get away and nice with each our own bedroom and bathroom. Dining was a bit tight but doable. Great having 2 dishwashers etc. could have had hot pads and more kitchen towels though.
