The room was big and the bed was quite comfortable. The private bathroom was huge and the shower and bathtub were great; good water pressure and hot water. The hostess Michela was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very tasty with a nice variety of things to eat. Location was also great: far enough from the city center to be quiet, yet only a 15 minute walk to the central square and Castelgrande. Lots of bars and restaurants around too. Hope to stay here again!

Decent shower and bed, nice breakfast, especially the honey.

The welcome and general communication with the owners was minimal. While we appreciate its a family home walking past their clothes drying on the stair was awkward. There was no bin in the room or hooks to hang coats and one of the shelves was broken.

Great (Italian style) breakfast, which moreover was mostly homemade (e.g. bread, yoghurt, jam, honey, chestnut cream, cake, cookies). Cozy room, shared bathroom. Very clean and well maintained. The hosts are friendly and clearly passionate about food.

Our room was big enough, and the bathroom was even bigger. The room actually opens from the bathroom and the main door opens to the bathroom. It was strange, but didn't caused any problem. The city center is about 15 minutes by foot. The host was nice. The breakfast was good, but very italian (just sweets). For a day it was ok, but for a longer stay something else would be nice. The parking is limited, best to reserve it beforehand.

my room was on the third floor. i could not manage my luggage and needed help going up and down

they say on the net they have a parking place. i could hardly get in when the owner told me to fix the position of the car because somebody else might come. i took out the car immedietely because it would have been impossible to get out if another car had been coming. in the morning it turned out that nobody else had come. we had to look for parking, about 10 minutes from the place, we lost a lot of time. the owner said there is the dining possibility but didn't bother to put out a menu in english near the existing french one even if she spoke very good english. bathroom is common with others, it is okay, we knew this. i did not feel good here at all. bad atmosphere....

We liked home-made breakfast, garden and low price. Room met our expectations.

This was one of the worst experience during my travels. First, it's airbnb, you are living in someone's private house. We didn't feel welcome since the first minute, welcome was really unpleasant. Parking is very narrow and can't be found without assistance. Only sweet meals for breakfast (no cheese or ham), no water or juice. Clothes being dried on the stairs. Very hot room (no A/C).

Breakfast was very nice, great hotel for a bike tour.

Very nice room in a beautiful house. Very friendly host. Other guests have been also very polite. Good place for the bike during the night.

Wonderful garden, with a pond and lilies surrounded by purple and yellow irises. We ate outside accompanied by a frog chorus. Our breakfast was delicious, everything home-made. We opted for the evening meal which was one of the best meals we have ever had. If you are going to Villa Del gusto you really should book yourselves Michaela’s evening meal.

Great location, secure parking for car with bike rack. Lovely garden; we sat outside and watched birds, frogs, bats and resident hedgehog. Really friendly and helpful staff. Excellent home made preserves, bread and beer! Very good, local style continental breakfast. Michela very helpful.

Dinner was gut

The hostess was very friendly, kind enough to prepare me a simple dinner without advance reservation when I arrived after a long journey. Room was simple but wholly adequate. Bathroom was not ensuite, but large and just next to my room. Breakfast was also normal, continental style.

Everything was Ok

The owner gave me a "Ticino pass" for the duration of my stay, allowing me to use unlimited buses and trains within Ticino, which is a huge deal! Breakfast was basic, musli, bread, jam, butter. Also some kind of biscuits. Homemade jogurt. Coffee. Sufficient. Room has mountain view. Plenty of storage. Bathroom was clean. Bus stop 2 minutes walk, decent bus frequency.

The house seems to be made of steel, so depending upon when you want to sleep and when the other occupants are moving around, there could be disturbance, so better to pack ear plugs.

Most of the food was homemade, just great!

Very Nice and Friendly Owners

To be honest I didn’t enjoy a lot my stay, it was just one night and in the morning I tried to leave as soon as possible. Upon arrival the host was not friendly at all, I arrived in the evening and it was rather dark and not easy to find entrance, the door was open, so I just entered, but received comment that normal people use the door ring, so I should consider myself as not normal one. Next day the host tried to be a bit nicer, but in whole I had an impression that they are not happy to see other people at their house. There were many comments as for the breakfast, and I also would prefer something salty instead of cakes.

Very nice hosts. Good breakfast.
