Very comfortable and well supplied. One of the few rentals in this area that do not have stairs in order to enter, making it easier for my elderly parents to navigate. The weather was cold so we were not able to enjoy all of the outdoor seating areas but could see how great this place is for spreading out on the property. There are a lot of beach chairs, towels and toys, and a wagon to take them to the beach. Very well stocked if you have young children. We will definitely consider staying at this property in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was everything we wanted for our trip and more. The house was perfect for our family, the pool is gorgeous, and it’s steps from the beach. I hope it’s available for our trip next year!

This house was exactly as advertised; extremely convenient, clean, and comfortable. It was less than a five minute walk to a very relaxing beach which the kids and us loved. When they needed a break from the beach, the pool was fantastic. Overall, the owners were very communicative when needed (was rarely needed). Everything necessary for a relaxing, low-key family beach vacation was there, and we would have no hesitation about returning in the future (in fact already contemplating doing so :o). Thanks again for a great vacation spot!

My husband and I and our two boys (ages 4 and 9) just had the loveliest week at Rick and Denise's house! We loved the easy, 2 minute walk to the beach, which isn't nearly as crowded as nearby beaches. This house is just across the street from a lovely, shaded bike path that takes you down to Coligny Plaza, shops, ice cream, coffee and restaurants just a 5 minute bike ride away. We took Rick's recommendation and rented bikes from Mikes Bikes (which offers free pick up and delivery) and were so glad we did! The heated saltwater pool was amazing. The bottom was nice and smooth and didn't tear up my boys' feet like some pool floors do. We loved having the nearby shade of the cabana, and the hose and showerhead to rinse off after the beach were great. You can tell that Rick and Denise put a lot of attention to the landscaping. It's gorgeous! Quiet neighborhood, surrounded by other lovely houses. As a family who likes to cook on vacation, we were grateful for the TWO full sized refrigerators available to us. The kitchen had everything I could have possibly asked for. The coffee maker wasn't working on our first day there, and the owners graciously (and quickly) replaced it. My husband was impressed with the great wifi. The washer dryer were much bigger than I was expecting. Upon our arrival everything was clean and the air conditioning kept the house comfortable and cool. The Beach Nest checks off all our "must haves". We hope to return next year! My son’s family and I thoroughly enjoyed our “short” 4 days this home!! It was all we hoped it would… wonderful pool, great supply of beach items, well equipped kitchen! I especially appreciated the 2 master suites!!😊😊😊 I would definitely book this home if and when our family visits HHI again!

We enjoyed the private pool and outdoor entertainment area. We also loved being so close to the beach! Just a short walk and they provide beach chairs and a wagon! Would stay here again.

Cozy beach house just steps away from the beach, pool and outdoor area was where we spent a lot of time! Really great for family travel, the kids room was wonderful! It’s in a great spot that’s close enough to everything, restaurants and shopping, but also quiet, private and relaxing. A great vacation spot, easy check in and great communication from owner!

Location is ideal. Close to beach, biking trails, shopping, food, etc. The private pool was fantastic and heated. House was perfect for our group of 7 and the 3rd bedroom being off the main house was great for grandparents. Kitchen was well appointed. Home had toys, games and puzzles which we needed when we ended up having 2 bad weather days. Beds were comfortable. Towels for pool/beach and toys for pool/beach were very appropriated.

The beach by the house is in the uncrowded space between more populated areas. We enjoyed the trails at nearby wildlife/nature preserves, dolphin watching on a boat ride, and the Gullah tour. Grilled fresh shrimp and ate at the Salty Dog. Owner and agent responsive. Husband enjoyed bike riding on beach and the cabana/pool.

The only disappointing thing about this stay was how short it was! A++++++ across the board. The access to the beach was tops for us along with the size of the pool. No detail was left unattended: beach towels, pool/beach toys, snacks (THANK YOU!!!), comfortable sitting areas, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and the covered area by the pool - absolute heaven. Rick was available immediately on text and through the app. Couldn’t have been happier and look forward to booking with them again!

The house and location were absolutely perfect for our group of 6 (us, our 2 children, plus grandparents). With the house set up (one bed and bath being off the porch) it worked well for our group and gave the grandparents their own space. The outdoor space was absolutely beautiful and we spent the majority of our non beach time enjoying the backyard. We rented bikes for an easy ride to Coligny. The house was the best stocked rental we've stayed in, they truly thought of everything. Rick and Denise were fantastic to communicate with. We'd absolutely stay again!!

This was my family’s first trip to HHI and we couldn’t have stayed at a better home! The owner and his team was very accommodating and made sure we had the best time during our week long vacation. We were welcomed with treats and fresh flowers. My two kids LOVED the bunk beds and all the toys, both indoor and pool/beach games available to them. The house has everything you need to go to beach, which is steps away from the front door, so you don’t have to worry about packing beach chairs/carts/umbrellas/etc. The pool and outdoor grilling area was amazing! There is no doubt I will be renting this property again in the future. Thanks again Rick and Don for making our vacation one we will never forget.

There were so many things we enjoyed: the large screened in porch was the perfect start/stop station between the beach and the house, loved the party lights, the kitchen was fully stocked, the house had plenty of room overall for our family of four plus grandma, our kids loved the bunk beds and the pool was very nice and so wonderful to have all to ourselves! The best part, by far, was the location. The front door is literally steps from the beach. We agreed the trek to and from the beach was more convenient staying at this house not right on the beach than it was when we stayed in a beach front condo a couple of years ago! The owner, Rick, was extremely responsive with any questions or concerns that came up and even brought us a thank you gift before we left. Thank you Rick & Denise!
