The host was very friendly and helpful, easily accessible, took care of problems and reduced the price (probably not least because of our negative experiences). He offered his help several times, e.g. to enable us to have a barbecue or to ward off the omnipresent mosquitoes. The problem with the non-functioning Wifi was solved promptly. The accommodation with 10 beds near the beach is clearly aimed at a group of young travellers who do not want to spend much time in the flat. It is perfectly suited for this purpose, and the flat is then quite a bargain. The possibility to sit outside is also great.

The equipment of the flat is very poor: There was everything you urgently need, but most of it was in a bad condition: The washing machine "bounced" when running because it is not adjusted correctly, this caused deafening noise. The other furniture is "bulky waste" or "5 Euro shelves" that threatened to fall over just by looking at them. Bathroom cupboards (for storing shower gel when taking a shower) missing, as are night boxes or proper cupboards. The old fridge was so noisy that the stay in the kitchen was not comfortable. All in all a very uncomfortable flat which we would have preferred to leave immediately. All in all, it was furnished as cheaply as possible and then got old while not having been renovated in the first place. The flat was dirty: There were no (living) insects except for the mosquitoes which had free access due to the lack of fly screens, but the floor had not been wiped (probably it had not even been swept before we arrived, we had to take care of it ourselves). There were stains on a shelf in the kitchen. If the beds had not been clean we would have left again. The fridge had not been cleaned for a long time. The walls were smeared and dirty and desperately needed a paint job (especially in the kitchen, where a previous guest probably spread coffee on the walls). The Showerhead was not cleaned in years. Wifi was not working, it took several days to fix it. All in all a very unpleasant stay during which we felt very uncomfortable, especially because we had to spend a lot of time in the kitchen because of the mosquito plague. With proper furniture and a little renovation the visit could be a lot of fun. For groups who don't care much about cosiness or cleanliness and don't spend much time in the flat this shouldn't be a deterrent but for us it resulted in very uncomfortable five days. Unfortunately the ratings had nothing to do with the experience and the pictures were misleading at best.
