This was our third year staying at Otter Cliff Cottage, and we couldn't be happier with the accommodations. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient, and Amanda is a wonderful host. She continues to make some minor upgrades to the already well-appointed cottage, and she is always quick to respond to questions or problems. We'll plan to return next summer as well!

This is our second year spending a week at Otter Cliff Cottage, and we had another fantastic experience! The cottage was equipped with many cooking supplies, pantry items, a washer and dryer, and comfortable beds! You can’t beat the location- close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Amanda was very communicative and super easy to work with. We’d love to stay again!

The Otter Creek cottage is a great spot for a low-key stay with great access to Acadia National Park. The cottage itself is in a small residential village that is virtually surrounded by Acadia National Park. You're within walking distance of several hiking paths and you can reach the carriage roads for biking or hiking within minutes by car or by using the Island Explorer shuttle. The town of Bar Harbor itself is very crowded in July but you can get there easily if you want to shop or dine out. The cottage was ultra-clean when we arrived and very well equipped. We were there during a warm and humid spell for Maine and appreciated the air conditioning.in every room. The owner was easy to contact but we had no issues at all during our stay. There's a sister cottage on the same lot so a larger group could stay together if both were rented. Definitely a 5!

My wife, son and dog Maya recently rented Otter Creek Cottage. We found the Cottage to be clean, neat and organized. The location was perfect to get to Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor and the Acadia Park. The property manager Amanda was very pleasant to work with, she returned communications very quickly and provided some nice suggestions. We are already discussing renting the Cottage again next year.

Immaculately clean, comfortable beds and conveniently located for those who don't want to be in the busy hub of Bar Harbor at night but want the close proximity to everything. Our family enjoyed the trails during the day, Bar Habor and for dinner (Blaze was great when you've reached your seafood limit), and the quiet atmosphere of the VRBO at night while roasting s'mores over the fire. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Otter Cliffs cabin. The description and pictures on the listing are accurate. It is very comfortable and a nice place to rest and relax after busy days. When we arrived, we found many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers. The cabin was clean, well organized and well stocked. There is ample closet and drawer space in each bedroom and the bathroom. The cabin is a short drive from Bar Harbor and many sights within the park. The location in a quiet, peaceful area away from the crowds was perfect for us. Communication with the host was excellent.

This rental exceeded our expectations. Amanda was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The proximity to the park and comforts of home like the ac grill and fire pit made our stay that much better. We will be staying again the next time we come to visit the park!

This little house is perfect for a getaway to Acadia. We stayed in late October. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor, this is it. Surprisingly, it’s not a long drive from town, but it’s so quiet. We did two long full day hikes directly from the house. No need to drive! Check all trails for a trail leading directly from town to the quarry trail to Gorham Peak or the Ocean Trail. We found the short cut only on our way back.
Super convenient for home cooked meals, laundry (nice!), fires in the pit, and tv for tired nights. Definitely consider this house for quiet, convenience, and comfort.

Perfectly located with easy access to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. A cute, quaint, comfortable and clean place to return to after days of hiking, biking and exploring the area. We will be back!

Our 3 week stay in Otter Creek Cottage was truly amazing. A home away from home. The house is cozy and comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Yet, very close to everything on Mt Desert Island. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. A short hiking trail at the end of the street leads you Otter Cove and Acadia National Park. We would definitely love to come and spend some more time at this home.

The Otter Cliff Cottage was charming, neatly kept and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The yard was private, well-maintained and a nice spot to enjoy lunches and dinners in. What we loved most is that it was just a short drive to everything, Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor, Acadia National Park Carriage Roads, and the shoreline. The property manager was easy to work with and provided quick responses to all our inquiries.

We found the cottage true to its photos and description. The location is between Seal and Bar Harbor, which worked well for us. The fire pit and gas grill weee both nice perks we enjoyed. Owner is responsive and check in/ out as well as recommendations before our trip were great.
The little store at the end of the street was also so lovely and we visited multiple times.

House was perfect! Clean and tidy. Newly updated and simply decorated. Perfect so we didn’t have to worry about mixing up our things with the homeowners. Supplied a number or little special touches that really made us very comfortable for the week we were there.

We had a wonderful time at Otter Cliff Cottage. It's a nice quiet neighborhood only 15 minutes from Bar Harbor, even closer to Seal Harbor.
The cottage was well kept and equipped. Amanda, the hostess, is very accommodating, and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable.
Our only regret was not staying two weeks instead of one. I would recommend this property and plan to book it again if we make it back to Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park.

Very cute and very clean cottage! We loved the location in Otter Creek. It is a quiet street that ends in Acadia National Park- we hiked from the cottage and also took the Island Explorer bus into Bar Harbor. Amanda was a great host- she communicated well throughout the entire process and was only a quick text away if we needed anything (we didn’t need anything though- everything was great!). We stayed at the Otter Cliff Cottage for almost 2 weeks. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Amanda was very welcoming and very responsive. The location is just perfect. The cottage is on a quiet street, yet just a few steps away is a little market that sells clam chowder, lobster and sandwiches which was ideal after a long day and just wanting to eat-in. I work remotely and the internet worked very well. The cottage is also just 4 miles from Bar Harbor in one direction and in the other, access to the many carriage roads inside and outside of Acadia National Park, as well as the other trails. We really felt like we were at home, and would recommend this cottage to anyone who is interested in visiting Maine. This has been one of our best vacations in the United States as we love the national parks and being in the woods. Thanks Amanda for being the most wonderful host. I really enjoyed chatting with you as you live such an interesting life. Meeting Amanda was part of our experience in Maine.

A great location for exploring Acadia. The house is cozy and comfortable -- we were just two adults, so it was spacious, but not overly large; it would be ideal for a family with children. The kitchen is well equipped.

This is the perfect cozy cabin tucked in a quiet part of MDI. Convenient location to get to all the great parts of Acadia and MDI. The Fall Foliage was amazing - luck of timing. The cabin was very clean and had comfy beds and linens and things you might need during your stay. We would definitely stay here if we come back to the area in the future. Lots of great books and brochures with tips about hikes- We hiked many miles even on the rainy day.

The property looked exactly like the pictures, even nicer. It was decorated really well, was very cozy and it is the best fully stocked kitchen in a rental I have ever had. Amanda was great when we had a question and we loved how close and easy it was to access the park!

Perfect cottage for my family of three! Well equipped and clean. We had a wonderful time. Location is very convenient to all that Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor has to offer. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again in a future trip!

My family and I absolutely loved this property! Such a cozy cottage and super clean. We enjoyed being in a quiet area but yet still being within a short drive of everything!! This cottage had all of the little touches that make a place feel cozy and like home away from home.

Otter Creek Cottage was awesome ! So close to Acadia National Park , hiking, and Bar Harbor. The cottage was very clean, and it everything we needed. Amanda, the host , was very quick to communicate, she is terrific too! Can’t wait to return!

Adorable cottage
Communication about check in and check out was very clear and smooth, and the host was very responsive. The cottage is adorable as far as decor and the perfect space for 4 adults. Having a fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer, and fire pit was a really nice perk!

Overall a great place for vacation.
Amanda was great. The house was clean, comfortable, well stocked and in a great location. The only issue was that it was a bit musty and smelled damp. We had good weather,, so we were able to open windows which helped.. A humidifier might help as well. Overall, it was a great vacation and we would recommend the house and Acadia!

Great Stay
Otter Cliff Cottage had everything we needed for a great stay in Acadia. The location was perfect. Close to Bar Harbor and Seal Cove and only 1/2 hour to get to the quiet side. Trail at the end of the street led to Quarry Trail, down to Otter Cove and on to Thunder Hole. The cottage was dog friendly, clean and kitchen well appointed. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit making s'mores. Overall a great place ro stay.

Perfect house in a perfect location
The house was in great condition and had everything we need. The best part is the location. Outside of the tourist craze of Bar Harbor but with easy access when you feel like that. Location couldn't be better. You can get to the trailheads quickly to some of the most popular hikes in the park by walking or a short drive.

Week-long Trip
Great location to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor after a day of shopping and Acadia. The fire pit made for great night time relaxation. The kitchen was spacious and fully stocked with all cookware and utensils. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place and perfect location!
I highly recommend this cottage! It was in tip top shape, had everything we needed, and was steps away from trails that led to Otter Cove, Sand Beach, and the Ocean path to Otter Cliffs. The host has thought of everything and it was a delight!
