The experince was truly cultural in everyway, there is a lot of interesting items in the apartment including a massive stock of japanese books.traditional bedding and furniture. The staff were truly great in everyway but comunication was difficult with mostly them only speaking Japanese. If your looking for the japanese experince then this is your place

Close to the town centre, close to the lower ski lift or the main gondola - all within walkable distance. Staff were friendly and offer a tasty traditional breakfast for ¥1000pp each morning. Futon beds were comfortable enough and the shared facilities were clean and did the job. Good value for money!

Drying room/ski storage room was a little disorganised but worked fine.

So close to the ski field and onsens. Large rooms and comfortable beds.

Lovely host, thought of everything you could need, feels very warm and cozy, traditional japanese experience. Perfect for ski/snowboard with an own dry room and more than enough space to store your equipment.

The host is very nice and helpful. Location is convenient, just a few minutes on foot may reach the ski slopes.

The facilities are little bit old and the bathroom is small. The sound insulation of the room is not good, you can clearly hear the snoring of the guests in the next room.

The location is excellent and the staff so lovely and friendly! We felt so welcomed and at home.

- Very friendly and helpful owner. On the day I was leaving it snowed heavily and so it was difficult to take my heavy luggage (with all my snow gear) to the bus terminal (normally under 10min walk); the owner happily took me to town. It was much appreciated! - Very close to Karasawa lifts - Has arrange 10% discount with the rental shop Sports Thanx (similar to many accommodations in Nozawa)

- Our room was down the hall so did not have wifi access - The heater is quite old and noisy. It gets very cold at night so it was a difficult choice between getting woken up by the cold (or piling on many duvets and blankets) or by the noise the heater makes. It's also not a consistent noise as the heater turns on every once in a while (so temperature drops a bit in between). - Corridor outside the room are not heated and are extremely cold, particularly when we get up at night / in the morning to go to the bathroom
