Great time. We did not expect the stairs leading to the unit so hauling all our gear and groceries was a chore. Only disappointment was that we were told the outdoor barbeque was there but it was not available yet for our planned Saturday barbeque.

This condo is conveniently located walking distance to Canyon Lodge and on the shuttle route. It was the perfect size for our family of 6. The kitchen had what we needed to prep meals. We ended up getting snowed in and the property management couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating us for one more night. Perfect condo from the time we walked in until we left!!

My wife and I, our 2 young kids, my parents and 4 other friends recently stayed here which overall worked out very well for our group and we had more than enough space.
Pros:
The location is amazing, walking to Canyon in the morning is easy and skiing almost all the way back is great.
The parking was in front of the unit and not a hassle at all.
The hot tub area is great, it is covered, always warms, and bathrooms with showers are there as well.
We were able to use the lounge prior to check-in, which was great as my parents were entertaining our youngest while the rest of the group skied.
The kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, etc. though dated and could use some more cooking utensils.
The wood burning stove is easy to get going and really cranks up the heat in the unit.
Cons:
There are a lot of stairs and some days we had to shovel the entrance steps which is a lot and I think not great considering the cost.
The blinds in all rooms are pretty insufficient since there are bright streetlights all around. They really need blackout shades.
The room with bunk beds does not have a solid door, they are slatted so it's pretty much the worst door you could have for a room meant for kids.
I think there is a bus stop out front which was noisy later at night.
The athletic club is a drive, not a walk. Same for check-in office.
The loft in the photos is inaccessible. Should be stated in the listing.

The condo looked clean. But it was dusty, the banister leading upstairs was very dusty and dirty. Chairs and carpeting were very dirty. Cooking pans were old and dirty. Lacking in cooking utensils, no spatula. Front door lock was not very secure, looks like it can be easily opened with a credit card. TV’s in each room was good, but no remote control. Living room TV had 5 controls that were not labeled, had to try and figure it out. Could not log into streaming service using my login ☹️☹️

"spectacular family unit " used in the unit description is a stretch considering how outdated everything is; the furnishings , blinds, bathroom fixtures . The only modern thing was the refrig. Entire unit in need of a paint job. Prob ok for a grp of younger guys but NOT for a nice family vac. Pool area is good.

We found the condo to be very spacious with its two levels and three bathrooms, it easily accommodated our 7 people (including children). The décor is dated and it could use some maintenance (eg. broken tiles in entrance way) but we didn't mind this too much given the reasonable price compared to other rentals in the area. The location is reasonably convenient although quite a big walk to Canyon in ski boots (10 mins) carrying gear if you are not super-fit,. We loved the Jacuzzi in the building next door and also the fireplace, although disappointing that we had to call twice for the promised firewood to be delivered two days after we moved in. Kitchen was not well equipt. Simple things like wine knife missing. Drying rack for clothing would also have been great even though washing machine and dryer provided. Place was surface cleaned only upon arrival (eg dirty under beds etc). Average place for average cost really so I wouldn't complain or rave about it.

We were a group of 2 families with 4 kids total plus an additional 2 adults. Having read previous reviews I can certainly confirm the serious need to upgrade this place. We had a good time and cannot really complain about anything. One of the best things was that the jacuzzi was right next door. When we ran out of firewood the on site manager was prompt to respond to our need even though it was the owners responsibility (we weren't able to get in touch with the owners, just voice mail). Be mindful with children and have them stay away from any electrical outlets as some of the wiring didn't appear to be safe (some of the outlets didn't even work). Overall appearance of the place is rundown (stains on carpets and furniture, old kitchen, one of the bunk beds very flimsy, etc.) and not well maintained, but hey, it's sort of good value and close to Canyon Lodge. Also, there's no BBQ and only 2 assigned parking spots (policy). This is your below average value rental.

I thought the rental was nice but in need of some repairs the ceramic tile was in pretty bad shape also the steps outside felt very unsafe in some areas other than that it was very relaxing we enjoyed the neighbors in the adjoined condo were very loud the first night till like 2 am in the morning which prevented us from getting a good nights rest

This is a street front unit that we rented in July 2017 for several days and again in July 2018. We use it as a base for day hiking in the area.
In addition to Unit 116 we also rented 2 other units within the same complex to accommodate a hiking group of 13 adults. We selected Unit 116 as one of the three primarily for its large dining space which has seating for 12 or more persons. Having adequate space to seat everyone for group dinners makes Unit 116 a good gathering location.
It is an older unit, clean but somewhat dark, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are basic. The deck is small and not usable space. The sliding door to the deck helps provide a through breeze but is difficult to open and threatens to come off its runners if opened more than 6 inches.
The kitchen is well stocked with oven proof dishes, pots, pans and adequate glasses, cutlery and crockery to accommodate cooking and serving meals for 12+ people. The one item the kitchen is lacking is a decent quality, sharp, straight-edged knife for use in food preparation.
The unit is on two levels with a significant number of steps from the street up to the front door. Once inside there’s another set of stairs to reach the main living space and kitchen.
In summary, it’s a clean, no frills, 4 bedroom unit, well suited as a central gathering location for hosting seated meals for 12 or so adults.

Perfectly located beautiful apartment
Honestly everything was perfect. Couldn't be happier with the results. Location was increíble, walking to the lifts. Parking during the day was a bit challenging due to it being so close XD - The Jacuzzi is enormous and the Sauna fantastic. Thanks much! Very valuable property

My group of 10 had a great stay at this rental unit. The location was perfect. We enjoyed being able to walk to and from the ski lodge and lifts each day. The property's shared hot tub is big enough to fit a large group all at the same time. The unit was clean and well maintained. The kitchen sink disposal broke midway through our stay and the property management company sent someone to fix it quickly. The only downside to our stay was the lack of wifi. A few members of our group needed to work remotely and had to relocate to local coffee shops instead of working from the rental unit. The wifi was not working when we arrived and was not fixed during our week-long stay. Other than that - we had a great time and will be back!

Property needs some maintenance, but comfortable with good location. Two internets, neither worked and property manager never showed to fix the problem. Two microwaves, one doesn't work and the other was hit and miss. Heater in upstairs bedroom doesn't work, have to leave door open to get warm air in the room.

This property needs some TLC and updating. The power kept going out in the room with the bunkbeds. The blankets on the beds looked to be 20 years old. The sliding door mechanism was broke, it was "repaired" but then we were unable to open the slider for the rest of the trip. We were given 8 towels for 9 people. Rectified with a phone call. The dining room is way too small for 10 chairs. It was very crowded. A picture was off the wall and just resting against the wall. Towel hanger was broke off in the master bedroom. No where to hang towels to dry after use. The closets had random stuff in them. There were no hangers to hang clothes on in any of the closets. The trash can was full in the closet outside our front door.
This is the most amount of money we have ever spent on any condo in Mammoth, and it Was Not Worth It!
The positives were that it was very close to Canyon Lodge and the property managers were quick to respond when called. And of course we were with a great group of people! But we would never stay in this place again.

Wonderful weather and great family time . Close to the ski hill. Convenient parking but killer steps to condo and more inside. Icy steps resulted in two falls. No response from maintenance report. Water in kitchen seldom warm. Showers okay. Needs new mattresses. Dining table spacious and great for playing games. Cable and internet worked fine. Heat hard to regulate between levels.

Great location
Had a wonderful trip to Mammoth. Was great to have 4 bedrooms for the family. Proximity to canyon lodge is great....easily walkable.
Overall layout of the condo has a great flow. Lots of pots & pans to cook with. It does seem a little dated. Bunk beds have seen better days. Not sure there is much support for bottom matress. There are 2 coffeemakers... one lets off enough steam that cabinet doors are dripping wet & the other one leaks. It would help

Spacious old place close to Canyon Lodge

We found the condo to be very spacious with its two levels and three bathrooms, it easily accommodated our 7 people (including children). The décor is dated and it could use some maintenance (eg. broken tiles in entrance way) but we didn't mind this too much given the reasonable price compared to other rentals in the area. The location is reasonably convenient although quite a big walk to Canyon in ski boots (10 mins) carrying gear if you are not super-fit,. We loved the Jacuzzi in the building next door and also the fireplace, although disappointing that we had to call twice for the promised firewood to be delivered two days after we moved in. Kitchen was not well equipt. Simple things like wine knife missing. Drying rack for clothing would also have been great even though washing machine and dryer provided. Place was surface cleaned only upon arrival (eg dirty under beds etc). Average place for average cost really so I wouldn't complain or rave about it.

Walked into #116 and couldn't believe how dirty this place was! Tiles from the floor piled up in a corner, Cockroaches in the bottom bedroom, and NO HOT WATER on the second night! We should've complained the moment we go there, but we didn't until we hot no hot water. This place is a disaster and need some serious maintenance! We stay at mammoth west every year and not sure will be back.

A large house within walking distance of Canyon Lodge. House was clean and a nice large living room area and dining table for large groups. On the downside, there was no dishsoap (which we didn't realize until after we went to the grocery store), no large garbage bags (like for the kitchen - just tiny garbage bags), and one of the burners on the range didn't work. Despite that, I would recommend this property - just suggest that people check for these items before going shopping (especially since the nearby Vons is extremely crowded and doesn't beg for repeat runs)
