Lots of space clean tidy

The upstairs neighbour was exceedingly noisy and on several occasions we were expecting them to arrive in our lounge through the ceiling Slightly dark due to situation on hillside

Very nice appartment, we would recommend and love to come back.

A second key would be nice. There was noise due to renovation work.

A stylish apartment in a quiet place near the market place for durham. Really good for visiting university and private decking area outside of apartment. We will stay again

The apartment is set away from the road in a substantial old house which has been smartly converted. The rooms were warm, bright and airy and the beds and sofa comfortable. Generally the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was spacious with a generous bath and shower. There were steps to the riverside so there was no need to walk alongside traffic to access the town and there was a frequent bus service if required. Keys were in a key safe so we could arrive whenever we liked.

Most of our quibbles are just teething troubles in a new apartment. WiFi reception was patchy, and non-existent in the evenings, probably due to shared access, and our EE mobile had no signal, We would have liked, but couldn't find: washing-up bowl, dish drainer, scissors, spare light bulbs, bathroom bin. We were concerned that the towel rail was hot enough to badly burn the unwary and the fence round the decking was unsteady. To access the private steps we had to leave the gate unbolted as the key pad didn't function. An armchair would be useful as otherwise you are all sitting in a row on the sofa. A wardrobe in the master bedroom (or just hooks) would have helped.
