We haven’t done a home stay in a long time, but this was a pleasant surprise. Robin’s home is cheerful, clean, and welcoming and Robin is a wonderful, friendly host. We were there with two other travellers, who we enjoyed meeting. Our room was on the third floors (lots of stairs!) and although it was small, the bed was comfortable and room was fine for our two night stay. Travellers should know there is one shared bath on the second floor and a toilet on the main floor. It was always available when we wanted to use it. Robin gave us great recommendations on where to cycle, visit and dine. Recommend!

Robin is an amazing host. The house is fantastic and I really enjoyed my time. I can highly recommend staying in Robins house.

It was the first time we used the "homestay" option, but it was a very nice experience without any issues at all. Robin is a very nice host and we had a good time in Alkmaar during our weekend stay.

Robin is very polite and nice person. Decoration of the room specially on the wall I like. Also the view of house and excellent music of Robin.

Modern and cozy house with canal view and close to city center, clean rooms and good atmosphere. It was perfect for traveling alone and visiting Alkmaar and Amsterdam for a couple of days, would have preferred to stay longer. The Landlord and his daughter share the house, which was a big bonus. Very kind and accommodating people with lots of helpful tips about the area. Would definitely recommend!

It was an absolutely beautiful house and a really great location perfect. The bed was comfy and it was relatively quiet. I felt very safe too.
Would have been more comfortable if I was shown where glasses and plates were etc, didn't feel comfortable enough to make breakfast. Shower pressure wasn't the best but overall I enjoyed my stay

Robin is a very helpful host. His apartment is very clean and friendly. The apartment is in a very nice area, but parking is a bit difficult to find. Overall, everything was great, I recommend it to everyone! I'll be back here!

Robin is a very kind and helpful host. He showed us everything in detail and answered all our questions in detail. Our room was completely clean and tidy, which was also true of the entire accommodation. We were there during the Formula 1 Grand Prix. If we can, we will stay here again next year.

I had a great time, the staff are very friendly and pleasant. The house is really clean and tidy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend!

Robin is very nice and welcoming. He upgraded us to a bigger room, which was very nice. I enjoyed my stay, can recommend.
Just be aware that this is not a hotel, but a homestay :)

The house is so incredible! Right next to the canal with a little garden. And also so close to the city Centre.
Robin is such a warm hearted, open and caring guy. He is a wonderful host that has advices and tipps where to go and what to do. There was a nice atmosphere in the house with the music from the living room. I felt very welcomed!
Also I think what Robin shows is that it is possible to have a high quality of life everyday! Just by living in such a wonderful house in a great city close to the water!

I just wanted to add that the accomondation is Robins home. He lives there and he welcomes you to have a room in his house and share the kitchen and the bathroom with him. So it's not a B&B or a hotel. Just keep that in mind when booking.

Camila was a nice and lovely host. She was very hospitable and nice to talk to.
Due to it being a shared house, I didn't like that some other guests were eating my food without my permission.

It is something you must be in for , for 1 night doable. Alkmaar, with great weather a nice city to visit!! Host very friendly and helpful…
Room not ‘our style’, although much facilities allowed to be used you will not do so when there is multiple people

The house is in a great location near the center of Alkmaar, and the rooms had canal views. Modern house but which retains a traditional style in the structure. Robin is a great host, she provided us with better accommodation than booked and gave us great tips for sightseeing and having a great dinner. Unfortunately the stay was too short, there will be a second time for sure.
