Our stay was great. The house was wonderful. It was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped, which the cook in our family loved, The driveway is the only tricky thing about the house, but it was manageable. Thank you for letting us use your property.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Boxer Overlook. Beautiful view. Loved the deck space (2 large tables with lots of chairs), hot tub, and fire pit (ample wood provided). Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms were large and the mattresses were comfortable. Prime location, easy to get to everything DCL has to offer. My only complaints are that the basement smelled of urine (it’s a pet friendly house) and only one kitchen trash bag was provided. Make sure you bring your own toiletries (none provided) and paper supplies (scant provisions).

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children (age 3,2,and 1.5) plus our two Aussies stayed at Boxer Overlook from Apr 20-27, 2024. We loved the view and the deck. The parking and access was a bit of a challenge for our 4 cars as the property is on a steep hill but that was a minor thing since the house and view were lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The deck had an abundance of chairs and tables. The manager responded promptly when needed. The property is very close to the state parks and has a very nice tennis court in the community. We loved it!

House is big enough for an extended family gathering. We stayed over Easter and the house had everything we needed to make a family meal. The house had a great view. The property was a little challenging with being on a hillside. The driveway was very steep and hard to hold multiple cars. The property was not very clean upon our arrival and that was our biggest issue. The kitchen cabinets had splattered food on them and the fridge smelled of fish. The house was pretty, but in need of a deep cleaning in the main areas.

Drive to get to it . Inadequate winter maintenance.
We spent a lot of time shoveling and salting to get in and out of a steep driveway . Said we had 5 parking spaces but we only had access to 3.

Great college reunion trip!
We had such a great time! The view was amazing! Plenty of rooms/beds to sleep in. Very clean!!! Would highly recommend and book again! Only negative was the shower water was not getting hot. We called Taylor Made and they helped us reset the breaker and a few hours later it got hot.

Great rental for my 12 person family. We enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub. My favorite thing was sitting outside on the wrap around porch - what an amazing view of the lake! The kitchen was well stocked with all essential cooking items. Highly recommend!!!

Parking drive way was not cleared of snow....no instructions for operation of television set. Ice maker in refrigerator could not make any ice....pictures in brochure were very deceiving

Great stay!
10 of us stayed here comfortably. We all had beds enough to go around and the property was great. The kitchen was fully stocked to the point that we didn't have anything missing. The fire area and hot tub were great as well.
My only complaint is that the customer service was very bad. They constantly didn't understand what I was asking and it looked like they didn't read my messages.

We have been vacationing at DCL for 10+ years, and have stayed at 5 different properties. Boxer Overlook is the nicest yet. It is a very well maintained, well designed home. It's in a quiet community, yet close to all the DCL attractions and activities. The only thing missing was a dock slip, and use of the Mountainside Community dock. This was also our first time renting through Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations. The experience was great! They are professional, responsive, and their communications are thorough. I'm sure we'll be contacting Taylor-Made for all future rentals. Just be careful that you don't get locked out of their properties on the check-out date. The access code on the door changes before the check-out time.

We had a great 9 days in Deep Creek. The weather was perfect the whole time. This was our 4th stay at Boxer Overlook. This year we were a little disappointed that the overall condition of Boxer Overlook was not being upgraded. It definitely needs to be removed from your "Elite" list. Screens in disrepair, pool table is broken, window sills and windows were disgustingly dirty, sinks in bathrooms not draining properly. The trees in front of the deck need to be trimmed down to give a better view of the lake. The home is starting to have that run down feel and not putting money into any modifications. For that reason, we have changed the home we are renting in 2018. We have reserved Heavenly Grove for 9/14/18-9/23/18. Even though Boxer Overlook has lost it's appeal, we are still very satisfied with Taylor Made people and the process in renting a home. We especially appreciate Nick and how he helps with any issues. It was very helpful for us to be able to take an afternoon and go look at other rental homes that allowed us to select Heavenly Grove for next year. In general, we still had a great time, love the area, and plan on continuing our tradition of a family vacation in Deep Creek.

I planned a weekend getaway for a group of friends. Three couples and five single people. We had plenty of space to eat, sleep and have fun. Great location, close to grocery stores, close to an ATV and horseback riding place. The views were spectacular, the lake is right there! Though the weather sucked we but the hot tub and billiards table helped us pass the time. We will come back for the summer.

We had an excellent time at Boxer Overlook this year. The open layout from the kitchen, through the family area, and dining room, is great for being together with everyone around the beautiful fireplace. Yet, when it is time to retire for the night, everyone can go to their own space with their own bathroom. Having the huge deck overlooking the lake is fantastic. Great place to enjoy beautiful fall weather. The house was extremely clean and prepared for our arrival. It is well stocked for cooking and we did plenty of that. We had one minor problem with a toilet and the maintenance staff was quick to respond and repair it. We have reserved the house again for 2017. It makes a great family getaway to relax and enjoy the moments.

Overall, we enjoyed the home. There were some glitches though, as the basement shower did not work, there were loads of fruit flies in the home, there were dirty linens on most of the beds and the cable people never came to repair the cable leaving us without television to watch after we watched the movies that were provided for us.

Very nice, spacious house and was very clean at check-in. All six of us really enjoyed the accomodations, location, view, and the area in general. This house was much larger than I had expected. All of the Taylor-Made folks that I dealt with were very easy to deal with, from reservation making through our stay. With out a doubt would use Tayor-Made again and will suggest to others! The only minor items that would have made everything absolutely perfect, would have been if the decking on the house had been treated(some peeling on both back decks and front porch) and would have been nice to have had a working ice maker in the refrigerator.
