Peaceful , sea is clean and warm. Rooms are on the beach and the landscape is wonderful!! Amazing location,to go there again!! I love Palinuro!

The hotel staff were friendly and polite, the room was comfortable and we had a balcony with sea view. The pool was not enormous but it was clean. The beach is right outside at the back of the hotel and each room has a parasol and sun beds allocated. Breakfast was normal continental with a good variety of cooked meats, cheese and pastries, the bread rolls were very nice.

There wasn't really anything to dislike but on a personal note I found it a bit strange that the main bar did not serve beer in the evening. (Beach kiosk did have draught beer during the day).

Hotel Saline is directly next to the beach. Each room has its own sunbeds and sunshade. Real plus: No one needs to occupy sunbeds before breakfast in the morning. Only, not all guests do understand the easy system and take the sunbed they want to. Even the balcony was small, we had a nice view from the bed directly to the sea and could enjoy the wave sound the whole day&night. The beach is nice but there are a lot of stones in the water. To help people to get in there where ways built into the Sea, so it was easy to go in. Even in September, water was quite warm and easy to enjoy. Colleagues were friendly, even for Not-Italian-Speakers, it was not always easy to communicate because only very few employees speak English or German. But the employees, who do, speak very good and are always helpful!! For lunch and breakfast, the terrace is very nice with sea view. Shuttle bus connections to the train station and to the village Palinuro were easy, even walking next to the beach to Palinuro was nice and easy, too.

Breakfast was really Italian with strong focus on sweets and croissants. Choice for continental breakfast could have been better. Smoking was permitted also on terrace while having breakfast. There was really loud music next to the pool every day (and often the same songs/music every day) from the morning till late at night, with breaks for lunch and dinner. Rooms are tidy but a bit old-fashion and some aspects could be renovated (wet points at the walls, installations in the bath room). Bed was good and comfortable.
