A nice welcome. The hostess gave recommendations for places to visit in the area and towels for beach use. When there was a problem with the air conditioner, there was a quick response. A fully equipped and comfortable kitchen for cooking. Rooms of different sizes all have enough space for luggage.

We were surprised to find out when we arrived that air conditioning is not included in the price. Using the air conditioner for more than 4 hours incurs an additional cost. In addition we only received one roll of toilet paper and were told that if it runs out we have to purchase a new roll ourselves. The host complained about things we did such as a light or a fan that we accidentally left on in the kitchen. When we came to leave, we asked to leave our suitcases in the kitchen for a few minutes in order to go to a nearby store to put a SIM in our phone because we ran out of internet. The host didn't agree to do that and kicked us out of the property.

It's a very old and rusty family house .

We had a really nice stay at Casa de Luna! The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. To get to the busy area, we had to walk a bit but thats absolutely fine! The host was so kind to let us park the car still at her place for our 1-night trip at Cozumel, which was very kind and therefore deserves and extra point! We did not take this for granted! The bathroom was very clean :) all in all we were very happy!

Unfortunately, we had a few problems with the AC since it did not turn off without flipping the electricity switch. Since it was only allowed to use the AC for 4-5 hours per night (otherwise extra charge) we decided to switch off the AC completely. While my boyfriend was fine with it and slept well, I was struggling a bit under the humidity and heat.

..Location was good, owners were a very nice family. House felt secure. Nice neighborhood.

There was no covered/waterproof outside place to enjoy. When it rained, we got soaked!

I like the location, 10 minutes walking until the beach, you are also close to everything that you need, you can park easy in the zone

the bathroom was not working properly the day I arrived and the shower needs to be changed, its really hard to get hot water and shower doesnt provide to much water preassure. Not coffee available to make The air conditioner can be use maximum 5 hours, like forget about using it during the whole night

Distance to down town and beach is good

Be aware that bathroom is shared. The bathroom was a mess when we got there, really dirty, however it was addressed properly immediately. unfortunately next day was the same ( not owner fault ) but really bad experience with the bathroom. The room was ok , nothing fancy you get what you pay for. Something else to remark is that there is only 1 spot for parking , we never had an issue with that but in case of 2 cars one would have to stay on the street.

It’s a bit far from the nightlife, but still within a walking distance.

The entire place needs renovation: everything was old and in need of repair: the showers, the faucets, the mattresses, all the equipment in the kitchen. Wifi didn’t work well at night, and the shower was almost always cold (you get used to it). everything is shared with a lot of people and that creates conflict sometimes, especially with the host who lives there and uses the same facilities. The host was also very unfriendly and not polite.

The family where fantastic and treated me as one of the family. Shared their meals with me and their Knowledge making my stay run smoothly. I could not have hoped for anything better. Room was nice and always clean

The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and at only 5/10 minutes from the city center/bus station etc. The familial athmosphere of the guesthouse is also enjoyable.

Even if Playa del Carmen is not cheap (by Mexican standards), this guesthouse is a bit expensive for what it is. The pressure of the shower is low. There is not much hot water. Many little things in the rooms/guesthouse should be fixed (the bedside table in my room for example). Finally the list of instructions/warnings placed in the room is far too long and controlling (you should not do that, do this, if you don't etc.).

Very nice and welcoming host! Great location that is close enough to the main area and still very quiet. Great value for money.

Shower and water pressure in general was not too good.

Casa de Luna was great overall. Very friendly staff and eager to help and assist! Kitchen was very well equipped!

The shower pressure was quite weak

We appreciated the free private parking as it's a difficult to find some in Playa del Carmen when staying in the center, close to the beach. The kitchen was big and well equipped. Bathroom was kind of small but clean. The host was nice and friendly.

A large, heavy looking wardrobe that didn't really serve to anything made the room smaller. Not much daylight in the room. The AC can be used only 4-5 hours per day. More hours for extra fee. It didn't really bother us as we arrived in the evening and stayed only one night.

The owner of house is very very kind and hospitable. The bed is really big and the mattress is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Close from big supermarket and collectivo station

The property, once found, was comfortable.

The outside signage does not exist, however there is a moon painted on the mailbox. The cab driver had to drive around the block a couple of times, and finally decided that had to be it. I didn’t like the inside signs all over. They were not hospitality driven. There was a sign that you could have your toilet cleaned, the charge was 20.00 US. If you used more than 4 hours of air conditioning there would be another charge. These charges kept popping up. The hosts seem very unhappy and stressed.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A short walk from the city centre, location on a quiet street, which we really liked. The drinking water provided in the kitchen was a nice touch.

While the room was very clean, the kitchen was not, and this put us off using it. But this wasn't really a major issue.
