Great location and friendly staffs

the sound proof is not good

No elevator/lift and you have to hike 3 to 5 flights of stairs to reach your room.

In a good location, short walk to the train station and old town. It's on a quiet residential street with numerous great restaurants and bars within a block. The owners are super friendly and will go above and beyond to help or give you local travel tips. Comfy bed, clead room and bathroom. Surprised their was a shower and sink in the room.

We had a great stay at Gästehaus Grupello. The owners were really kind and explained us about the neighbourhood and things to see around Düsseldorf. We could borrow a kettle for hot water in the room as well. The beds were very comfortable and the room was definitely warm enough.

Near the train station, room and shared bathroom are clean. Very friendly staff, Maria provided a map and explained what places I need to visit. Also I was able to make early check-in.

Maybe only sound insulation effect is not good, I often hear voices from the neighbor rooms.

Location is excellent with metro station just a few meters. Greek neighborhood nearby with many shops, restaurants, gyros souvlaki and pastry shop

The location was so good, close by and super nice. Felt really safe to walk even later at night! Also a 2 min walk and you have the subway and tram so aahh love it. Also the host maria was amazing she gave tips and was so sweet! Loved every every second of my stay. Even got a kettle to boil water so i could drink tea in the morning. I had an amazing view!

The bed was bad.

It was so clean and well-arranged. The room was spacious for one though. Staff promptly assisted when i needed help.

My room was on the 5th floor and they dont have an elevator. So you better keep that in mind if you have many baggages. Heater took time to warm the room up and had loud noise sometimes.

Everything! Our room, the bathroom, the location, the host. It was our first time in Dusseldorf and Maria showed us which places we need to visit and gave us recommendations for food, drinks. The room was very big and it had great view. On our departure day, we were able to leave our backpacks in the guesthouse and go explore the city for a couple of hours before our next destination.

Maria is a really nice owner. She welcomed my boyfriend and me with a hearty greeting and a well-prepared information pack. The guesthouse is in the city centre, close to the most touristy places and the train station.

I have read again but still can't find the info about the room not having a private bathroom but a shared one. It was OK for the price but this can be important to know for others. Also, the walls are not so thick, we could hear many things from the bathroom and the chat of the neighbours. But if you don't want to spend to much time in the room (and why would you? :) ), these are all acceptable for the nice price.
