A reasonable location, good parking, and characterful room

A bit rundown and basic, the beds were uncomfortable, the chair was broken, the wifi was poor, the flooring was uneven and this was only useful for an overnight stopover with minimal time in the room.

I should have read the former reviews, before booking. Had the same bad experiences with terrible street noise almost during whole night. No soundproofed windows. Broken toilet seat. Dusty room. Everything looked a bit old and worn out. We immediately realised the traffic noise and wanted to change the room, but were told that its "full booked". Odd, that there were only three other cars parked... Didnt help that we had crossed "quiet room" during the booking process. The lady at the reception behaved rather arrogant than customer-friendly. I would recommend rather take a more expensive hotel further south or even a bit further in the mountains and wake up 1hr earlier in order to get your ferry or plane than to really spoil your last evening at this beautiful island.

The wifi was almost non existent and booked here because needed to do a zoom conference! Had to use 4g on phone!

The stay itself was quiet and good

There is a radar speed control not far from the structure. About one month after my stay, i received a call from booking claiming i had to pay for the stay due to an informatic issue suffered by the hotel, even though i gave them all my credit card's detail. I told'em i had to verify the payment in my bank account and then, if the case, i would have payed. Couple of days after i received a phone call by the hotel, they told me the same in italian (they had an informatic issue in elaborating the payment) and i gave them the same answer in Italian. Couple of weeks after, still not able to verify my bank account, i received an email claiming that i escaped from the hotel withouth paying, so i answered that this is untrue, because i checked out and i was told nothing, and nevertheless i gave them all the credit card details, and i was pretty irritated that i was treated like a burglair. Anyway, once again, i told them that as soon as i had the possibility to check my credit card's movement, in order to avoid to pay twice, i would have proceeded to the payment. They answered me to keep in touch directly with the hotel, and they gave me an email address because THEY CANNOT TREAT PAYMENTS. After a couple of days i could finally verify my cc details and yes, i had to pay, so i wrote to the email address provided me by booking to give me the correct amount and an IBAN so i could proceed to the payment. The day after, i was astonished when i received their answer: they ran out of pacience with me because i was trying to cheat them (!!!!!!!!) and i had to write to booking to finalize the payment! WHAT!! Booking writes go to them, they write go to booking, are you kidding me or what? And they speak about Italy...The one who is running out of pacience now is definitely me. So the suggestion is to avoid this hotel if you don't want to be treated like a burglair with no fault and to be stalked for month with useless phone calls.
