The hotel is a nice modernist building, right on the beach and with many bars, shops and restaurants nearby. My room was very tastefully furnished, impeccably clean and with nice boat-deck style floors. I appreciated the coffee maker. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast tasty.

Unforunately, I was quite disappointment by the hotel because it was not possible to see the ocean from my room due to the architecture. Maybe other rooms are better, but looking at the room map my room was the worst in that regard. I can only assume that I was given this room as a solo traveller (paying the double rate though...). They offered me to stay on the ground floor, which had the same problem. Also the wifi was very slow with constant need of reconnection. The hotel is brightly illuminated throughout the night, so you need ot keep the blinds down which makes it impossible to hear the waves in the night. There are no curtains.

Beautiful location

Breakfast is served (7:30-10:30) in the hotel restaurant, with view on the ocean. Nice. But around ten, hotel staff start to prepare the restaurant for lunch so you start to feel not welcome and pressed to leave. Moreover, when I asked at 10:15 to get some eggs (none were left ; there were 3 black slices of bacon remaining) I was told that this was totally impossible. I was "too late" and they were not going to serve me. It was only after making a big fuss with two different members of staff that I managed to nevertheless obtain one single boiled egg. It says everything about service mindedness.

Listening to the waves crashing on the shore was just magical and the sunsets from the deck chairs in the evening were beautiful. The buffet breakfasts were varied and included in the price.

Beautiful location right on the beach in Biscarrosse. The hotel felt clean, modern and the staff were very professional and friendly. We ate at the restaurant for dinner which had a nice atmosphere with live music on the Saturday night. The breakfast included with our room was excellent, freshly cooked and lots of choice.

The spa and pool could have been open earlier - we had to leave after breakfast so didn't get chance to use it. The air conditioning in our hotel room didn't work, which wasn't really a problem as it wasn't too hot.

Great food, great location and great staff! The masseuse was incredible too.

The bar by the pool could have been open longer as could the main bar. this could have been down to staffing but refreshingly not mentioned. and not a major problem.

Great hotel in a fabulous location.

Signage needs to be better! It took me 3 hours to find the place. In the dark there are no visible signs and my sat nav kept taking me round in circles. Better signage would be a great start to this trip. I lost a day on travelling and getting lost. Not enough food options for small children.

The location is absolutely fantastic, the swimming pool with view to the ocean, globally the staff is very nice.

The bed could have been a little bit bigger. The terrace giving directly to the big wheel at night can be a little anoying.

I had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and with a view of the ocean. I was able to sleep with the balcony door partially open to hear the waves. The room was clean and well maintained during my stay. The breakfast was well stocked and ample. Overall the food was excellent. The outside sitting and lounging areas and the pool area were very comfortable. The location of the hotel right on the beach makes it seem so distant from the busy seaside town that is right out the back door. The parking was close and secure. The staff were amazingly kind and pleasant.

The bed frames are awful. They come up level with the mattress and it is actually painful getting out of the bed. Whoever designed them should be forced to get in and out of them repeatedly for several minutes. I noticed other reviewers have commented on this.

Location and restaurant and staff

We advised in advance and again on arrival that my wife, having coeliac disease, required gluten free food. This was confirmed by the hotel by e-mail in advance. For the first day a gluten free breakfast bread was provided but on the second day no gluten free option was available. Also on the second day the scrambled eggs and bacon was not available so my wife had no breakfast and I was also inconvenienced. We complained to reception and were given a discount on our bill. This of course did not compensate for the lack of breakfast.

The staff were exception in every way. Professional but personable and friendly.

Literally the only complaint was that the sliding window to the balcony was very difficult to open. Nothing really, everything else was excellent.
