Property was clean and well maintained! The location was amazing due to excellent beaches and walking distance to Captiva businesses. I would highly recommend.

Amazing property and a perfect location! We had a lot of family fun.

The property was dated. Furniture was stained, curtains were paper thin, old and dingy. Mattresses were terribly old and uncomfortable. The unit had a horrendous smell. We literally had to plug our noses for days. It made me feel sick. We were so excited to come on vacation and catch up on sleep, but instead we were very sleep deprived every night because the curtains didn't block out any light. There were huge bright lights outside the bedroom windows so it was literally like sleeping with the sun shining in your eyes. We found several dirty dishes with a lot of caked on food. Some of the "clean" towels had big ugly stains. I think it is just time to update some of the lines. Buy real curtains, make some cosmetic changes, and the place could be nice again. But I guess if people keep renting, it will not get updated and I can't blame the owners for that. I was surprised by the relatively good reviews of the place. On the positive side, the unit is nice for walking to tennis or restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet at night despite it being the height of spring break. Mostly all young families.

It got better over the week but wasn’t great. We ended up buy frebreeze plug ins that helped a little. Hot water only lasted for 1 -2 people at end of the day. Was nice to have use of the locker for beach items! Would be nice to have a keyless enter or more keys. Condo had only 2 keys and with 4 of us ( 2 teenagers) it was a pain shuffling keys around.

(Mar 6-13, 2012) Very strange how they do things = no use of beach chairs or umbrellas on beach, or golf course or any of the restaurants and a few pools. So the beach chairs and umbrella that came with this villa were child size. One umbrella that provided enough shade for 1 person. Chairs that were child size very flimsy and just a regular upright chair,. no adjustment what so ever. Very uncomfortable. I think we were very lucky having good neighbors who were quiet because these buildings are quite old and dated. Balcony very close and visible to others - can hear everything everyone is saying in and outside of their condo. Even when the elevator goes up and down.I can rent a beautiful private home on a caribbean island with a private pool for the price of this condo. ( Done it many times ) Also not sure who would handle situations that might arise when staying here.

The place was spotless! Well appointed kitchen with all of the things you would need to prepare dinner at home, although right across the street was great food! Plenty of towels and blankets and all that was needed. We had issues with the cable/internet over the Xmas holidays, so just make sure that has been resolved so if you're looking to 'work' while on holiday, the system is fast enough for you. As the information states on the listing, since you are renting thru a 3rd party, you can't use the trolley, or the beach chairs (we did!) or golf without the resort wristband. Pool was right out front of the unit and the balcony overlooked the ocean and pool and cool osprey nest- the birds were very entertaining! Felt very safe and comfortable there. I'd recommend!

Only draw- backs were: coin laundry (didn’t realize this when booking), internet is a little slow, the furniture in the master bedroom had a strong musty smell, and the TV’s were a little fuzzy. Overall a great condo- loved the location- just what we wanted- a beach that wasn’t super busy.

The property was in great shape and had everything we needed for our stay. Our kids enjoyed the access to the 2 pools and the short walk to the beach. We visited the marina where there were dozens of manatees and a playful dolphin gave us a visit on our walk. The sunsets from the beach and the villa were amazing! A close walk to the general store, Starbucks, and shops. A bit of a drive up the island, but being in a secure gated property was a big plus. Check in and check out was a breeze. We would definitely come back!

The reservation process is very smooth and the communication with the staff is great. The location to their office is very central, located the Bailey's supermarket plaza in Sanibel. Any of the staff members will be at the office or on call to attend to your needs. Once we had the keys, we were ready to go spend our week with our three small children. Once we entered the condo, we did have some issues with cleanliness and condensation and right away we called Patience who is the property manager. To be honest with you, the customer service that we received from her staff and Patience was exceptional and very high standard! Patience was so professional on the phone and extremely willing to resolve any and all issues. She drove from her home, which was a good distance away, to get what ever we needed to resolve our problems. We had left to have our ritual family dinner on our first night & Patience came with all the supplies needed, PLUS more! It was like night and day! Our whole outlook with the condo changed because of Patience's amazing character to take control of the situation. For this action, I truly thank her and the staff at Selection Vacations. Aside from the minor inconvenience, we did manage to have a lovely time! We did experience the red tide algae but we will know for next time to check the tide issue. In all, we will definitely contact Patience and her team for any future reservations. Thank you so much! We will see you guys again soon!

The furniture and overall condition were a bit dated, and a bit musty smelling. We booked on VRBO and were not prepared for additional resort fees at South Seas Resort. The additional fee to use pools, beach equipment, water slide, etc. was $150 per person/per day. Despite this setback, the management company was very helpful.

There is no washer/dryer inside unit nor is there any storage unit for beach accessories. 2 small beach chairs and 4 towels in closet. Parking is in the lot. Ample sleep space but beds are on the softer side and bedding is extremely heavy. Pool area is very nice but provides no shade. Beach was very clean and never overcrowded. Location is just inside the gated south seas plantation with a terrific ocean view but not the most quiet place with all the workers during the day and lots of children running around.
