We were in town for a high school baseball tournament. Excellent location - easy walking distance to restaurants and shops (and a coffee shop right downstairs) in the main tourist area. The apartment was well-appointed and very clean. We accidentally left a pair of glasses behind after checking out - the owner called me within minutes of my messaging her and was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Right in the middle of Sitka! Walkable to about 90% of what we wanted to see and do. Plenty of space for 4 adults, coffee was provided and there were even a few bonus surprises (good ones!) in the fridge, but a word of warning to those from the lower, lower-48. No A/C or ceiling fans, so pack lightweight pjs.

Very nice and every thing we needed

The apartment worked great for our girl’s trip (4 adults). We were in Sitka for 6 nights, 5 at the VRBO. It was a clean, well-stocked, nicely furnished place. We appreciated the soft bath towels, adequately stocked kitchen (coffee provided!) and ample storage in the bedrooms. Having twin beds in the second room rather than a queen was ideal in that we each had our own bed. The half bath located off of this room provided a good set up for us. Being in the heart of the town made visiting sights, shopping and dining out easy and convenient. We enjoyed the view of St. Michael’s from the living area. Wished we could have seen the mountains, but it was cloudy and/or rainy most of our stay. Even with the rental being located in the city center, we had no issues with noise. Since we didn’t rent a car, we either walked or took a taxi to get around. We rode the public bus (blue line) once. It met our needs but wasn’t the most efficient. However, not dealing with parking was nice. We found the people of Sitka to be very welcoming and friendly. Some of our favorite activities: visiting Fortress of the Bear, taking an ATV tour on Kruzof Island, walking through Sitka National Park (totem poles) and attending the Sitka Fine Art Camp’s production of Mamma Mia. Suggestions for property owners/hosts: Add some hooks and towel racks or shelves in the bathroom, hang a mirror near an outlet as there’s no outlet in the half bath that we could find, if possible upgrade the Wi-Fi as it rarely worked, put in a lock box on the first floor to store an elevator key. It was very off-putting to be accused of “bothering” the consignment store staff to access the elevator, which needs a key for entry, when this was not the case at all. My friends (one in a wheelchair) were waiting in the hallway with our luggage while I determined the layout of the second floor. They were approached by a friendly, helpful consignment store employee who offered us assistance. In the future, please seek to understand the situation prior to blaming your guests. Note to readers: I addressed this directly with Katy and would not have included this in my review if I would have received a response acknowledging a misunderstanding had occurred. This did not happen and I do not want future guests to feel the way I did. I’ve not encountered this type of interaction with prior vacation rental bookings. The good news is it was the complete opposite of our experiences with the residents of Sitka.

The property is right in the middle of town and super easy to access local amenities. Quite comfortable furniture and a desk so I could work while I was there. Very clean. It is located upstairs in an older office building but perfectly remodeled for our stay.

This place was perfect for our fishing trip. Well equipped to cook every night and comfy to lounge at after a long day of fishing. Great location too.

It was home like. I liked the books (although I did not have time to read) the attention to detail with things like q-tips, abundance of pillow made for a comfy nights sleep.

The place was nice and clean and had a great view of the church. There can be room for improvement (ie rust in the bathtub, and a crack in the window) other small things like that. I would stay there again and would recommend this place as well as the host to anyone going to Sitka.

Very nice place, fantastic location and the host was very flexible with the checkin/out times. The only minor negative in my opinion is the mattress weren't the most comfortable but not terrible. Overall great experience!

Great location, helpful hosts, very clean, comfortable and spacious

In short, the value for the money isn't there. The living room is spacious, but the comfort of the furniture is just OK. Two twin beds in one of the bedrooms are below average in comfort. The other beds are more comfortable (7 and 8 out of 10 for comfort) The master bedroom can use more electrical outlets, or better placement of existing outlets. Recharging electronic devices in this room is awkward and somewhat limited. If internet is important to you and you want, or require, wi-fi for your internet connection, choose another apartment in this building. Internet service is NOT available in Room 12. We had to go into the hallway, 20-25 feet from the door to the apartment to receive internet service. To make matters worse, the owners don't seem to care. After an exchange of two text messages in which I tried to explain the problem and request assistance in solving it, I received the following message: "Stopped by [not true]. Internet is working elsewhere. I can't do anything more sorry. Welcome to Sitka." If you wish to do laundry (one of the amenities claimed for this building), bring your own detergent and plenty of quarters. Soap is unavailable, even for purchase, and there is no change machine in the laundry room.

Very comfortable and well-appointed

We were amazed how close all the fishing activities we had booked were to the property. The unit was extremely comfortable and cozy. Great views and in the center of downtown. Amazingly quiet considering the road proximity and traffic circle around the famous church. A pleasant stay to be followed by another in a similar unit shortly. RR

In perfect location! Taxi from airport to apartment! Walking distance to anywhere in town. Clean, comfy beds! A bit warm in back bedroom but slept great 😊 I would stay here again when I come back to visit!

It was a perfect place for me and my friend, who came for three days of fishing and one day of sightseeing. The place has good Wi-Fi and the kitchen facilities are ample. Having two bedrooms and bathrooms (one with shower) is also nice. Overall it was entirely satisfactory..

You won't need to rent a car after a short taxi ride from the airport. This comfortable apartment is nestled right in downtown Sitka near all the shops and tourist attractions. The rooms are in a commercial building with apartments on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed frozen yogurt and mexican food that were inside the Franklin Building. They keys are a little tricky to figure out, but eventually we felt very enabled to go where ever we needed to throughout Sitka. It was a lovely stay, the linens were clean, the living room was a good social location for our party of folks, and I would definitely consider renting again. Katy was very communicative about how to get into the facility and the possibility of early and late arrival.

Great location! Easy to find parking and very walkable to restaurants and shopping. Apartment was spotless and owner provided some extras that was nice to have (coffee, shampoo, body wash). We had an issue with our tv and they addressed it immediately. Our only suggestion would be to provide some paper products like paper towels and tissues.

Being downtown was fantastic. Literally walked everywhere. Felt right at home. The rental was clean and well appointed.

Great location, easy check in and out. Clean, comfortable, everything as described. The owner was super quick to reply to any texts. The only issue is there are doors in both bedrooms that access the outside apartment hallway, and you can hear through them very easily. We were woken up sat night by an altercation down the hallway at another apartment, and can hear people coming and going to their apartments pretty easily. Not a big deal but I am a light sleeper so I was awoken most nights and mornings by noise.

What a great location! Five minutes from the airport and in the center of shopping. Food places in the same area. We were visiting a granddaughter, her husband and a brand new great granddaughter who lived three minutes away. We hope to visit Sitka again and will hope to book this location another time.

Sitka was wonderful! Apartment was quaint and was perfect for our visit.

My business partner and I had a weeks worth of business in Sitka. We stayed in one of these apartments and the location was great, the apartment was clean and well stocked and the property manager was responsive and friendly. I will certainly stay here again and would recommend this to anyone, either traveling on business or for pleasure. It would also be great for a family.

The property was quiet and comfortable in a great location. No need for a car for most adventures.

Nice, fully furnished, large apartment easily accomodated the four of us. Location couldn't have been better. Most attractions, shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk - including the Sitka RIDE bus stop if we wanted to venture further. Managers, Katy & Jack were easy to work with and went out of their way to help. Enjoyed having a nice, comfortable "home" to live in while experiencing the Sitka area.

This property was perfect for our stay. It was clean, well stocked with items advertised, and within walking distance of everything downtown. The property manager was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property. Truly a home away from home!
