I quite enjoyed my room with the doors opening to private beach. It’s amazing to just walk out of the room to the beach and to sleep with the sound of waves. It’s a central location, everything is close, just walk out and walk kilometers or beaches, so beautiful at night. They have sun beds and tables at their private beach as well, so it’s a great place to just lay down read a book and chill. Hot water works well, bathrooms were clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly I give it 8 stars overall thanks to direct beach access.

- old and dark rooms overall.. if the owners did a bit of an interior touch up even if it made them raise the price by a bit I’m sure they could make more money - if you don’t like bugs it’s not a place for you, you will see roaches and ants and other bugs in your room. There is no way to get rid of them as top of the room door has open space and they can just fly or come in. -entrance windows don’t close well so as a solo female traveler I didn’t feel safe sleeping there first night, since everyone could enter that private beach there is no property gate or anything. - the fan in my room was very loud and squeaky - the rooms are old style, so they are quite open and you can hear everything going on. So if you are a light sleeper the option is not for you. One day a kid was singing at 6 am, another day construction in the morning. And before that if anyone is hanging out on the beach with friends till night you will hear every single word as well. But overall sleeping on the beach with hearing waves was worth it for me despite all these minuses

The hotel staff were friendly

The room needed renovation. Paint was peeling from the floor and ceiling. The floor was dirty and stained. The bathroom was also not clean. The hotel is located on the coastline, but there will not be many sea urchins and stones to swim there.

The person who takes care of the place was an amazing person. I have never met such an honest person. He always tried to help us not to get caught by scammers. He was such a helpful nice guy. He doesn't even accept some money we gifted him. He refused and said I'm just doing my job. We've never met such a person. That means he was helping us for real. I cannot remember his name unfortunately. He's the short guy ( 30 years old) who's married and have two kids. I'm writing this specially to let know the house owner know that guy is a gem. Now about the house. Old structured house located just by the sea. But the beach front part is not safe to use for swimming. Just Infront of the hotel there's a really good restaurant call moonlight. Incredible prices too. We had all our meals there during the stay. There are many shops around the property where you can buy clothing, bags etc.several Atm machines were very close. Overall a good stay.

Perfect beach side location with perfect sunset view. Near to turtles rest, just a quick beach walking and then you are there to see and touch them. I will definitely stay there again.

I loved my room that one side was open to the fresh air - it meant my room was always cool yet also safe and no insects at all! Bed was really comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Wow. The hotel is on the first line from its exit to the beach for little money. Air conditioning, tea at your service. The guys from the hotel are very friendly. I was glad to spend time here.

Superb location

The owner was friendly, the location is nice, very close to turtle beach. But far from Hikkaduwa itself.

Very dirty rooms, moldy and humid and stinky. Dirty, uncomfortable beds. Barely daylight in the room, there was only a very tiny window. Definitely not worth the price. The owner almost charged us more because we we're only with two persons in a three person bedroom.

Calm environment.. very close to the turtle beach

The perfect location just right in front of the Hikkaduwa Beach and the entrance from the mail road. totally worth the money. definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for a budget accommodation in Hikkaduwa

The hotel is right on the beach. The host was very friendly. He climed to a coconut tree to get us a coconut for breakfast.

Best location in Hikkaduwa. Beautiful sea view & just one-minute to the beach. Calm place.

Facilities wise, there wasn't much. Very basic and quite old rooms.

Good location

- on arrival they were not expecting us and put us in a worse room than we had paid for because the room we booked was occupied - the rooms are like prison cells; dark and with no natural lighting at all - the 4/5 workers walk around all day but do nothing. The rooms are filthy and could very easily be cleaned/painted in their spare time - the WiFi is non existent and when we asked they just laughed at us - A/C was broken and wires were sticking out - they don’t provide you with bed sheets: you have to pay extra - room was not cleaned in three days; I’m not too bothered by this but toilet roll and soup was never restocked - owners seem nice once you’re spending money. On one occasion when we ate across the road at another restaurant they stood at the entrance looking at us and did not greet us when we came back - finally, on the last day they asked did we need a Tuk Tuk to our next stop in Mirissa for 3000. We said no as we had already got a price of 2500 from another driver. They agree to do 2500 so we went with them. When we got to the next accommodation we decided to give the 3000 because it was quite a long distance. The owner / driver scoffed at us and kept repeating how long it took and how far we had travelled. Why agree to a price, get more than the agreed price and still complain?! All in all a horrible stay and we were delighted to be gone. Don’t be fooled by the lovely pictures of the property. The beach and location are perfect but the property is poorly kept and the people are only nice if you are spending money there
