This hotel is like paradise on earth. If we could give more than 10 stars, we would! The staff is extremely friendly and the setting unbelievably beautiful. The food was some of the best we've had in Colombia. The whole atmosphere is very social. We prefer this to staying in town, which can become crowded with other tourists.

La Cabaña is located in a bucolic setting of extraordinary, rustic beauty. It is at the opening of the Cocora Valley, with the Quindio river running along the side of the property. Green pastures, cows and horses, birds galore of many colors and sizes and shapes, dramatic skies with beautiful clouds that change shapes constantly, and the continuous music of the river as it rushes by through your rocky bed.  Easy access to hiking in the “bosque de niebla” with striking views of the ”palms de cera.” Easy access as well to the quaint towns of Salento and Filandia.

We had an amazing stay at the cabana Hotel It's is a great alternative to staying in the town of salento . You can be surrounded by beautiful countryside and peace and quiet. Hector and Andrea and all the staff are lovely and very helpful . They can arrange trips and a massage for you which were great and good value. The breakfast and home cooked food are delicious. Please don't miss this opportunity for an amazing stay on a beautiful working farm where you feel special and looked after

Gorgeous surroundings and property. Staff is beyond helpful and kind—special thanks to Santiago, who’s such a caring, capable and fun guy, who btw speaks fluent English and explained us everything in great detail and answered all of our questions. Food is very good and affordable. Lots of friendly animals! Cute cats, a lovely dog, lots of cows and some horses. The river room (8) has a beautiful view to the Quindío river. It’s relatively small but cozy and has a small fridge, stacked with various drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). There’s a small space heater that’s really useful during the chilly nights. Valle de Cocora is only a few km away. Incredibly calm, relaxing and quiet place. Many different activities are offered, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, etc. Coffee & tea available all day long. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Can’t recommend enough.

We wish there were a few more shelves or a chest of drawers to put clothes on/in, though, as well as a hanger or something to dry the towels there.

The staff at La Cabana were some of the most kind and generous people you can find. They went above and beyond to ensure you were comfortable and had your needs met.

Probably due to the size of the hot water heater, you had to time your showers to be during off-peak hours to get hot water.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The owners will make you feel like home, the buildings are super nice and the area is beautiful. All of us loved it there and we wish to come back again one day!

Breakfast is included and varied daily! All food is locally sourced from their farms nearby, fresh and delicious! The location and la Cabaña is absolutely gorgeous! It's a gem! A place I will definitely recommend to family and friends and if we ever go back, we'll surely stay here again!

It was truly a magical stay, the property is incredible, my nephews were happy with the cows, horses and other animals, the incredible landscape, the staff and the host Hector was very kind and he made sure we felt at home, This stay is worth every dollar I pay, I can't wait to go back.

The wifi wasn’t the best, but apparently it is something common in the Valle of Cocora, because I stayed in other hotel and the wifi was even worse.

Is located outside Salento and the road is not pedestrian friendly, specially during the night so without a car you will rely mainly on taxis (local jeeps charge 12000 COP for the ride) or the generosity of your hosts. The place is so nice that still worth it!

This is something that may go beyond the range of manoeuvre of the hosts: there is mould in the ceiling. However, this is a very moist environment (a lot of vegetation around) and the house is 150 yo built from local wood… so it is quite hard to handle

Sometimes it was a bit of a hassle to get into town. often they can bring you, but if the staff is occupied you need to get into a Willy from the main road.

Great host and staff. They were always attentive to our needs and wishes. The location is wonderful and the house beutiful. We were very lucky, the sun shined the whole time. I warmly recommend La Cabaña.

Great and peaceful place close to Salento. The rooms are nice and it has everything you need. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We liked the breakfast. Highly recommend.

Everything. We could have not stayed in a better place. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature. It's also very easy to reach the town and discover the other main attractions in the area. The staff is just so helpful and kind, they made our stay very enjoyable. The food (including breakfast) was delicious and fresh/homemade, we really recommend it.
