loved room 9 ! quiet and clean! loved the pool table, games and books! all the information at front desk was very helpful

The private room itself was really lovely, with a hotel-like cleanliness and feel (however it was extremely hot). The property is secluded and calm and the rooftop gym has amazing views over the city. It is certainly not a sociable place but we had a nice time. Breakfast was great.

The room was boiling hot because it was in the back corner of the property with little/no airflow. We were provided with a second fan to try and mitigate the heat but it was still uncomfortably warm!

This was my second stay in La Tortuga, this time I was staying in a dorm. It was one of the best dorms I've ever slept in. Comfortable, with big cases to store your stuff. Amazing breakfest and overall service. Everybody's really helpful and make you feel at home.

I was staying in the private room and I think it was one of the best value for money deals in Central America. The room and bathroom are super clean (should be an example to all of the places around here). Nice design. Great shared space. Definitely one of the best inclueded breakfests in the region (I definitely recommend typical breakfest and home made granola).

The only defect was realtively unstable internet connection. If you work online make sure it will work for you. I had to stop 2 videocalls and run to the nearest coffee place, because it was coming on and off. That was unfortunately a bit uncomfortable

It is a quiet little hostel that is run with a lot of love. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One of the best equipped kitchens I have had while traveling. I will definitely be back.

I loved my stay at La Tortuga. Every single person working there is just so friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was very filling and delicious, you get free coffee and filtered water all day long and the kitchen is very clean and has everything you need to cook yourself. The fridge gets cleaned regularly, so you actually have plenty of space and it’s not full of old stuff. I used the gym to practice Yoga, which is great because there is a roof and shade. At night you can go and see the stars from the terrace. The dorm beds have comfortable mattresses, many fans and big lockers that fit the whole backpack. The food at the BBQ night was very, very delicious and I didn’t even eat the meat. I loved the chilled atmosphere and can only recommend staying there.

Great place, nice atmosphere and good vibes. You can choose between 4 kinds of breakfast (all of them is good!). The people working there are really helpfull and kind. Helped us with booking tours, transportation and recommendations restaurants

Only thing that was less comfortable was the heat in the room. There is no ac.

The staff were wonderful and helped us to book onto a great tour! The staff in the kitchen were lovely and cooked really great breakfasts. The facilities in the hostel were great and the common space is a really welcoming space to hang out.

It is without a doubt the best Hostel we have been to on our 5 month of traveling. we loved everything about it. The rooms a very big and have a nice charm. The hostel itself is beautiful, the fact that they include a incredible good breakfast is also a big bonus. Last but not least the stuff is great and always very kind and willing to help with everything. Especially we wanna thank the managers Jenny&David for being that type of awesome people they are and we are more then happy to call them our friends now.

I loved this place so much I had to come back and stay again. I stayed 2 places in Leon before this and this was by far my favourite in the whole of Central America so far. It literally had everything you could want. A huge shelf of books, a small gym with weights and equipment on the terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, pool table and plenty of chill space and a swimming pool. The free breakfast everyday is great with three different options available. Someone was always cleaning. The best part of the stay was the staff though. They were so friendly, helpful and kind. They made me feel like I was at home. Gracias Maria, Lusea, Fermina y el resto del personal por hacerme sentir como en casa. Espero verte de nuevo

Everything! I arrived very early because my shuttle left Granada at 6 a.m. The staff weren’t expecting me so early, but they were very sweet and accommodated me with breakfast and told me to wait while they prepared the room. Breakfast was delicious and there were 3 choices plus fruit and coffee and tea. They take cleaning very seriously here as I always saw someone cleaning something. My room very spacious and clean, especially for 1 person, but I loved not feeling cramped and being able to spread my things out without fear of bugs or something crawling on my clothes. The A.C. and WiFi worked great as well. I’m definitely coming back in the future because the room was so comfortable and definitely worth every penny!

The pool always looked dirty with little white stuff in it, which was a bummer. The main lightbulb in the room was kind of dim, so it could be hard to see sometimes. Opening the blinds brings in more sunlight, but then other people might be able to see into your room, so it’s not always practical. Also, the sink was a little small and you also need to bring your own body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. These are all small things to me, because the good definitely outweighed the bad.

Perfect hostel and good staff. Best pancakes we had in Nica in the morning.
