This is a wonderful hostel. It was extremely clean, and the kitchen is really well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! There was lots of small places to sit and chat, but the best things about the were the pets! The dog is adorable, and they have a young cat who is still in kitten-play mode, and she runs around attacking you when you're least expecting it. It's all play - her claws are never out, and she doesn't bite down. She is absolutely brilliant and so much fun. The owner is really nice and helpful, and I can't recommend the hostel enough.

A family hostel with comfortable environment. I stayed 3 nights and Adri is very nice and helpful when I asked for some information. Well equipped kitchen, Clean and comfy bed. Lovely puppy and kitty. Located in a quiet residential areas. Very good price for budget travelers.

The owner was really nice and provided me with everything I needed. Information regarding local busses, restaurants, activities etc. - She put all the information on a blackboard. The kitchen is well equipped, filtered water is available for free and the Wi-Fi is really good.

The showers were cold - but as it was very warm outside, it wasn’t as bad as you may think.

The Hostel has a very welcoming feel. The owner is there for all your needs, and has heaps of information readily available. She didn't try to push you to buy expensive tours and shuttles and helped figure out cheap ways to get everywhere.

Simply the best hostel I've stayed in the last 4 months of traveling. Large beds, nice pools, cozy atmosphere, well equipped kitchen, comfortable TV room and the best ever staff. Adriana does her job with love, she's always available for anything you need and knows absolutely everything about Santa Ana and the surrounding region. I spent a week at Pool House and felt truly like home. Every hostel should be like this!

We really enjoyed staying at poolhouse, we were meant to stay two nights, and in the end we stayed for five! Adriana makes you feel you're at home, she helped us so much also when we left for Nicaragua, to arrange the transfer and everything. She is not just a regural host but a friend. The kitchen is well equipped, the pool is clean and the bed is confortable. Our best experience in an hostel. The neighbourhood is very safe and the people are so lovely and friendly. We recommend it 100%. Also the position it's just 10 minutes walking from the main square. Ps: we loved her pets, blackie (cat) and coconut (dog)

Great hostel with lovely hosts! Kitchen was well equiped and there was free coffee in the morning. Very knowledagble hosts, who can answer all your questions.

It's a very nice place with great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the pool and garden. Amazing stuff - unlike in many other places, they seemed to know a lot about El Salvador and were always eager to help. Very nice breakfasts!

there were maybe few little inconveniences (eg. internet a bit slow at times) but in the end it all didn't matter. The overall experience is excellent, mostly thanks of the kind and professional stuff

This might be the best Hostel we ever stayed in! it feels like a home, the vibe is chilled and everything is very clean! Adri and Team are the kindest and friendliest people. They helped us with everything, for example taking the right chickenbusses or getting us a shuttle to Guatemala. The location of the hostel is very nice as well. not far away from the main square but very quiet during day and night. Thank you so much for having us, Adri 😍

We loved our stay at Pool House Hostel, Adri and Roberto were wonderful hosts and such lovely people! Adri helped us with all our bus routes around Santa Ana and the Ruta de Las Flores, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The hostel itself is so cosy and Coco and Blackie are the cutest pets!

Everything. It was a wonderful stay. The environment was magical, the staff were like a family and super helpful. The house was cozy and incredibly comfortable. They have a little dog and a cat that are very funny. They also offer Netflix and of course a Pool where you can chill out.

The bathroom could be a little bit cleaner.

The owners are so friendly, they help you with anything! The house is really nice decorated, it felt a but like home (: The pool is nice on hot days.

I stayed there 3 nights and they didn’t clean the (bath)room. Also I would put up something in the bathroom where you can hang up your towel, that would be nice.

This hostel really felt like home. I arrived late and the host provided me with complimentary beverages to settle in. I am a digital nomad and I was able to work with no problem. The common rooms were amazing and I could socialize, but also just chill the days I wanted to. The kitchen was equipped well and I could cook perfectly. The breakfast that the host provides is also very tasty and is a large portion. The host was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed to see the tourist attractions and how to progress on my travels again. I would recommend this hostel to any traveler. The best part is that all communication is in both Spanish and English.

This place is amazing! The owners are so friendly and interested. As it has only 10 beds available, it's like living in a bigger family and they make you feel like it. They gave us a lot of suggestions and the breakfast was really good. There is coffee and water for free the whole day and you can even watch Netflix on the cozy sofa. And they have a pool! We really enjoyed our stay!

Friendly staff. If you value the feeling of staying in someone's home above facilities, then this could be for you. Room 2 is of an acceptable size with ventilation and en-suite.

Room 1 is basic, cramped and dingy with no natural light or ventilation. Single fan only, directed at one bed. There are a lack of plug sockets in the room, and plugged in devices in the communal areas were constantly being unplugged. Unclean shared bathroom with nowhere to hang clothes/towel. Resident dog.

this place felt like home. Adri was so friendly and helpful! Everyone was fantastically kind and welcoming. I highly recommend any backpacker staying here, hands down
