the best location, the view is really amazing, the historical tram passes next to your window, staffs are very kind and extremely helpful. I like to most 1) a coffee machine in my room and 2) jogging in the morning along the river.

Breakfast was good. The location was in walking distance from the center. The area where the hotel is located is quiet and nice.

We didn’t like the room. We were assigned a family room that has an extendable bed. The room was very dark, the “view” was back of a warehouse, the furniture and the bathroom were old. Unfortunately it was not possible to change the room. The room was very far from 4 stars standards…

Breakfast buffet was great. Location was really good - on the river very close to downtown, excellent views, yet very quiet. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and accomodated us with with early checkout and breakfast bags to take with us.

The hotel is right on the river and has the best views in Porto! Located in a beautiful renovated building in the old town, it was a comfortable base to explore beautiful Porto and venture to Douro Valley. There are several restaurants right next to the hotel from which to enjoy the magical river sunset views. Great shower, great breakfast. Though our standard room did not have river views, it was facing a cute inner courtyard. Street parking was available next to the hotel, but required some skill and maneuvering to fit in.

With almost no toiletries and no coffee set in the room, this did not feel like a 4-star hotel. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The room was a bit small.

Being on the River. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

It was a very good value but that’s because they didn’t offer extra things like tissues in the room. If you wanted to blow your nose you had to use toilet paper. Also, in the shower, there was a shampoo/bodywash that came out of one pump. But that didn’t bother me because I brought my own shampoo. The one extra thing the hotel does provide are shower caps. That’s great because in the USA, many hotels stopped providing them.

The staff was excellent & really helpful . Will certainly stay there again

we were greatly disappointed about how we were treated ! one evening we wanted to stay in the hotel because it was raining cats and dogs absolutely pouring rain and windy ! When we tried to order food in the bar at 9:45 pm, Anna the receptionist told us in a very unfriendly manner that because other people are waiting for food we can’t have food anymore although in the website it says light meals can be ordered till 11pm. she didn’t bother to tell us were else we could eat or anything to accommodate us just left us standing! Also when we asked for more coffee tabs for the nesspressomachine she was unfriendly and brought them 2 hours later when we didn’t need them anymore . At breakfast we had to clean the table ourself so we could start eating, no table was prepared , so we organised glasses cups plates knives and forks … nobody of the stuff asked if they could help only when we ran after them and asked them they would kindly assist us… all in all we felt very unwelcome as if we were an inconvenient disturbance to the stuffs Plans although we strictly held to the timetable for breakfast… we would never book this hotel again price and value don’t fit

The river views were lovely. It’s about a 15-20 walk to all the action.

While the property served our needs, the decor and ambience were very average. The rooms felt a bit dark and dingy.

Breakfast was good especially the heart shaped pancakes!! View was great! And restaurants in walking distance plus quick Uber rides to town. Very helpful friendly staff!!!!

Could have used 2 coffees pods in the room. but asked for 1 more and got it plus it was a nice to have in room
