The beds were amazing and all the appliances were Miele. Well functioning kitchen & laundry, and a very big spaces (lounge, bedrooms etc). Lots of cups, plates, cutlery and other kitchen bits and pieces. On-site pool towels were a bonus. We could easily see the fireworks on NYE from the River Bar. Nice flat 15 min walk to Hastings St.

The worst showers I have ever experienced, came out like a dribble no matter how much 'adjusting' was done. No car park facilities so with a large family everything (bikes, boogie boards, the lot have to go up 7 flights (of 7 stairs each). Nightmare. No air-conditioning!! Yes you might be able to catch a breeze but if you don't want to be woken by the Sun at 4.47am beaming in or the external road noise, then it's not practical. Air-conditioning is a must.

Fantastic location with million dollar views. Commodore 8 is within easy walking distance to Hastings Street.

When you pay top dollar you expect all the creature comforts and mod cons! Although Commodore 8 has fully functional kitchen and laundry with top end appliances - it only has 2 Dyson pedestal fans - on the Sunshine Coast you really need air conditioning, fly wire screens on all windows and a security door to allow cross ventilation. We hired an additional 2 pedestal fans from a local hire company “Emu Hire” at our own cost.

Sensational views from the huge balcony. The apartment provides loads of space. Fully equipped kitchen with Euro appliances. Big BBQ. Comfy beds. Great pool. Central location. Bus stops close by. Top restaurant within 3 minute walk - Rock Salt.

Be aware that there are 44 stairs to climb to get to this level three oasis. Not that it concerned us, but there in no air-conditioning in the apartment, just Dyson fans.

Views and location were perfect!

Naturally I feel the owners of this house were of German heritage and I feel it needs to be said that the Australian sun is quite hot during summer especially with the Northern humidity too. I do feel that the owners should invest in some air-conditioning, rather than let their guests sweat every drop of fluid in their body out. Yes there were fans provided, however I'm fairly sure these fans were from WW2 and couldnt even blow a candle out. Other than that and a German Iron Cross sticker on the inside of the bathroom door, everything else was splendid. We are still wondering what was in the big chest in the living room too.
