The location is in the heart of Vang Vieng. The view is very impressive facing the Nam Song River and limestone mountains. Room 558: The room was spacious and overall was well cared for. The bed was very relaxing and we had a comfortable sleep each night. The shower had good water pressure and a tub that shared the balcony view. Wi-Fi was good too. Breakfast was alright.

During check-in we were charged $1,019.00 AUD instead of $858.00 AUD. The receptionist advised that it was the USD for the day + Amari’s 2% additional. The manager overheard the situation and reversed the transaction and charged correctly. We sat down by the poolside to order something to drink and eat. We were provided a drink / food menus. We were the only people there. We had decided what to order and awaited service. Three new guests arrived, the waiter came to the table and took the menus from my hand and walked away and gave it to the new arrivals. They ordered drinks and he exited the bar area leaving us sitting there without an explanation. We exited the area and went without. Amari’s Staff overall lack the warmth, skills and dedication to their roles. It was shown when conversing or being in their presence. We felt uncomfortable with our interactions with this particular team. It’s also important to note that the pictures for the spectacular view is heavily hampered by the thick heavy smoke cloud from the local communities burning their crops. Whilst this is not something Amari can change they can consider their pricing as this made the room not as worthy as the price tag paid as the view is not visible and the balcony could not be used due to smoke inhalation.

The location was excellent and river views were exceptional.

The hotel feels tired and dated. It needs an upgrade. My bedroom was unexciting and the decor was dull and tired.

Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et bien équipées. Le lit est ultra confortable! Grand buffet varié composé de différents types de cuisines asiatiques en plus des classiques œufs/bacon etc. La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite pour rayonner à pied pour les restos, bureaux d'excursions, tours en bateau/kayak,...La vue sur les montagnes est magnifique!

Quelques défauts: La porte de la salle de bain ne se fermait pas. L'eau de la douche a du mal à s'évacuer.

Maybe only thing I would like to see but it is not a complaint ... some literature on activities and things to see and do ... but if you walk across the road there are many agents happy to help also

The view is fantastic. We stayed on level 3 in a room with a balcony and it was stunning. The pool is a great size and very lovely. The food in the restaurant was great and the buffet breakfast had great selections.

There is a hotel being built in front of this one which is going to obstruct the view. It was so noisy from early morning to late afternoon. In addition to the noise from construction, the hotel absolutely blasts terrible music all day every day and run TV ads with sound at full volume. There was no way you could relax and take in the scenery in peace. The staff were not very friendly, helpful or welcoming. They cater more to their conference attendees than hotel guests. We organised train station pick up and they forgot us. The staff just seem to stand around on their phones and are not very proactive at cleaning around pool area. It was muddy and rubbish was on the floor (gum, bandaids). The pool side bar not open during day, we never knew where we could order food or drinks from. It’s a lovely hotel but a bit pricey compared to other 4 star in the area. You really just stay for the view
