When you Go to ometepe island you need to reserve the ferry for you car.
No buddy tell us.
But they know how to swipe youre card.
No refound or changing dates.

It says that dinner is available but it's not. Not a big issue as there are restaurants nearby, but would be good to know in advance as they close quite early.

Finca Ometepe was very peaceful. It had beautiful gardens, the fruit trees smelled amazing and we saw so many colourful birds. It was lovely to start the day with the fresh breakfast they make and admire the surroundings.
We had 2 tarantula encounters we weren't expecting! One in the bathroom and one on our back porch. Understandable since you are in the jungle but was a surprise for us

The breakfast was very good with eggs and juice from the farm. It was delivered to us at the cottage . We were able to truly relax on the patio, enjoy the scenery while also enjoying a full breakfast.
We did not appreciate the misinformation as far as the listing is concerned. We expected the cottage to be completely air conditioned (or at least the 2 bedrooms). Also, we had been traveling for a while before arriving at Finca Ometepe and were actually looking forward to washing our dusty clothes, only to discover that there wasn't a washer but a washing service at an extra charge.

Beautiful views from the balcony, fresh eggs and plantains from the farm, large and well equipped kitchen, helpful staff.
It would be nice to have a little hot water.

The farm and petroglyph tour from Wilbur was great. 2 hours was plenty of time to learn and see so much.
The dogs were friendly. Enjoyed the outdoor seating with the 2 tables, rocking chairs and hammocks.
We were far from everything. We spent a lot of time in the car going from one place to another. The power kept going off in the middle of the night. No A/c in 2nd bedroom. Too hot during dry season. Unfortunately, no food was available at the farm the days we were there. We brought some food but certainly notenough.

We stayed in the little casita and it was absolutely amazing. The place is a treat for your soul. Very clean, relaxing, beautiful view! Recommended 100%
We paid 10 USD for a laudry though which felt a little overpriced but other than that everything was wonderful, everyone was helpful and the animals are just precious.

it was such a beautiful farm to stay at! The place was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful! was a little far from the road but if you have a car then you're fine. Would for sure stay at again.

Such a stunning place! The owners and staff were really nice and helpful. We were able to milk the goats and take a tour to the nearby petroglyphs with one of the local guides. He was super knowledgeable and explained a lot about the history of the island. The house were whe stayed was really clean, well maintained and had super comfy beds. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. At the farm there are different animals and lots of space to explore, perfect for the kids. We loved our stay and will for sure be back!

Our stay at the eco-lodge Finca Ometepe was really excellent. We stayed in the separate smaller house, which was amazing with its large terraces and hammocks - the finca is located in the middle of a banana plantation. The view is spectacular and you can see the lake, the garden, the jungle, the banana fields and the volcano. You will see many animals on the property, including parrots, howler monkeys, hummingbirds, etc. and of course some farm animals like dogs, goats, chickens, etc.
Hanna and Hakan are some of the nicest hosts we have ever met, e.g. they took us on a 2-hour tour of the compound to show old petroglyphs and we got a guided tour of the garden by a gardener. They have good contacts to the people here and can help to arrange things to do.
The room was modern, very clean, comfortable and really nicely decorated. The WIFI works great and all the windows / doors have mosquito protection, although we didn't have a big problem with that.
We had planned to stay 3 days, but it was so nice that we stayed 10 days!

We would have loved to stay more days… I would recommend to have own transportation.
